No need to solder as long as I kept enough tension on the wire to keep a good contact on the test point hole
Exactly what I needed to hack into the serial console of a router in order to de-brick it (after a misadventure installing OpenWRT), using an FTDI assembly (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IJXZQ7C/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_3). The wee prong of one end of each wire fit into a test point hole on the router, and the wee socket on the other end fit a prong on the FTDI. No need to solder as long as I kept enough tension on the wire to keep a good contact on the test point hole. (Although when I had insufficient tension I sure got a lot of errors from the resulting poor connection.) After de-bricking I could go back to installing OpenWRT (properly this time) and now the router works fine. And I still have this FTDI thingie and all these wee little hookup wires!

Fine for home use.
Very stiff while they are still connected together; but they are ok if you pull them apart, which you can do very easily, so easy that you might have a hard time keeping them together if that is your intent. They are 200mm as advertised. The female plugs aren't very springy, so if you plug them on to a kind of fat pin, then try to use them on a small pin, it will be very loose because the fat pin stretched it out and it doesn't spring back. If all your connecting pins are the same size, it shouldn't be an issue. It is possible to squish the plugs a little and make them tight again. If you are working on important stuff like rocket science, you might want something better; but for home use, tinkering with cool projects, they should be fine.

Good Product
Although as advertised these cables are about 8 inches long that is tip to tip so about 7.5 inches after you plug them into something. They are a bit more stiff than normal bread board jumper wires yet so far this has not caused me any problems. These come all connected into a single 40 wire ribbon so you can peal a single wire if you need it or a group of multiple wires to connect an arduino, sensor, or other device, and with a little creativity you can even get the color codes to make sense. I would purchase this product again.

These are a nice length and the connectors are small enough that they can be used side-by-side. I like the 0.1 inch spacing on breadboards and similar connectors. These can be split wherever necessary to get multiple attached cables. I like having the connectors small enough that they can be used on breadboards with connectors having multiple pins. I also use them for testing radio control devices like servos and boats.

These work great for my Arduino projects
I have a crimping tool and have made my own jumpers but I'm really enjoying the convenience these ribbon cables offer. The length is clearly identified but I do find myself wishing they were longer (something I'll be looking into soon). I've not had any issue with the quality. I appreciate following the standard color code (Black, Brown, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet, Gray, White). I would also purchase jumpers that were alternating Red and Black which are typical colors for power and ground. Conveniently I can strip off White and Black pairs which I believe is an alternate color standard for power and ground. Overall, very pleased with this purchase.

I am happy with this purchase, ordered again.
These are very handy. I use mostly with raspberry pi projects. Good quality. They come in wide ribbons, but if you want several of a certain color, this type of rainbow ribbon is inefficient. Wanting rainbow colors to match LED color is great, but wanting a black ground for each does not happen, not enough black. The insulation does not hold up to soldering too well. Not that they ever claimed it would. I cut them in half and solder them to other wires and LEDs. The scraps I use on pcb boards. That's where the heat from soldering curls the insulation.

Unbearable Chemical Smell
I was excited to open these and start using them to make working between my Raspberry Pi and breadboard easier. Then I opened the little ziploc they came in and was blown away by the smell. It's a kind of chemical smell or fumes. I thought it was dissipate quickly but after using them for a few minutes I was starting to feel ill. It was like I had been inhaling solder fumes.I tried rubbing the plastic wire insulators down with a damp, soapy paper towel in a futile attempt to get rid of some of the smell but to no avail. I peeled off a few of them and put the rest out in the garage. It was so bad that I still have a headache from them an hour later. I'll now probably get cancer or get black lung from these cheap wires, but at least I can breadboard with ease!I noticed two other comments about the smell, both posted in the last week. Hopefully there is just one smelly batch but it's bad enough I wish I would have bought something else.

Great Stuff
Missing one male connector on the last one in the batch. However, substituted a small paper clip and soldered to the copper wire and added a 1" piece of shrink tubing. Really great stuff otherwise. I am also really pleased that the cable is a single unit that can be torn off individually as needed. Keeps things tidy and all in one place.
