Solder Wire Lead-Free

I use this Fernox lead-free solder every week for soldered joints on potable water copper pipes. I use the leaded version (yellow roll instead of green) for all other soldering. Both 'run' well, both make good joints. This version is more rigid metal whereas the leaded is softer. They are of a completely different mix of metals if you look at the data sheets. I have heard opinions that this lead free version makes a stronger joint. You could use it for all joints, even non-potable water joints, but remember it's more expensive than the leaded version.
