The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge Hardcover – August 1, 2002

For less than $16 USD, this is a very nice book. Despite the non-premium binding, it still has Smyth Sewn signatures! The paper is thick and opaque, which is an asset here since the text is so small and dense and bleed-through would make reading difficult. I'll take the cover's word for it that there really are at least 500,000 references here. Note that the text of The Bible is NOT included in this book: it only has references, and LOTS of them, organized by Bible chapter and verse, so these same references can be used with any translation of The Bible you might have. All 66 books of The Bible are covered, but not the Apocrypha.

If it seems confusing to use, it's actually quite simple and in The perfect order of the Bible. Just look up the Roman numerals and you will be totally fine.Whenever I see a verse now that I'm particularly desirous to know more about, my heart shoots up an exclamation point within itself, and then it thinks THE TREASURY OF SCRIPTURE KNOWLEDGE! Back and forth I will be looking up verses and starting to understand scripture in ways I never knew. Nothing will ever be able to comprehend scripture better than scripture because it doesn't contradict itself and in a very real spiritual sense is living and breathing once it becomes a part of your spiritual life. When you understand scripture, not just The head knowledge, but the actual understanding from the new man, is when we can see what it means by Gods Word being alive...

Think about your Bible. Now think about the center column references in the middle of each page. They are there to add clarity to the passages you are reading by referring you to other scriptures covering the same or a related topic.However, only so much can "squeeze" into this narrow space--limiting the amount of references.But what if there where a book that specialized, yea verily focused only on scripture references? You'd have a book like The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge.It contains over 500,000 references! And since a basic hermeneutical principle is "scripture interprets scripture," this is one of the handiest volumes one could own.In fact, it would not be an understatement to say that it is a one-volume library in and of itself. OK, maybe a little over the top, but it is a valuable tool that can and should be used in all study.Also, there is an updated version available by Jerome Smith. If you can spare the extra cash, this updated version contains a lot of good commentary. I heartily recommend this volume.

This took a long time to compile, great cross references, all laid out like a Bible itself.A true gem to own.

Good book with connecting verses, I would have given it 5 stars. but there are many verses that the TSK doesn't connect, I was somewhat shocked to go into Revelation 12:3 which states and I find no old testament connecting dragon scriptures in the TSK.Also another scripture in revelation was ]]Once again there are no scripture references given for "thief" and folks there are old testament passages that connect with "thief" in Rev 16:15, so I felt a little let down there. But either way the book does come packed with scripture references, and you will find more connecting verses than you know off the top of your head. By the way if you ain't got the best eyesight in the world you might wanna buy yourself a magnifying glass at the local walmart or off amazon, the text is very small, I can still read it myself but just barely.

This tool may come with many software programs... but learn to use it and you can understand what the Lord meant when he says it! MUST HAVE FOR THE SERIOUS BIBLE STUDENT!
