It should clamp on the NO.1 spark plug wire and the arrow should be pointing towards the spark plug. WHY not accurate 1) Check if the inductive clip is clamped in place. 2) Perhaps there is interference from the external ignition system, or the spark plug ignition is not so stable. First, check if the spark plug is aging, and if so, replace the spark plug first. WHY light isn’t flash or light flashes intermittently 1)Swap the clamps over. 2)Make sure the clamps are connected to a clean place. 3) Engine speed should be maintained below 3500RPM. 4)Move the pick-up wire away from the other wires. About Motorcycles 1）Motorcycles with magneto ignition system, which CAN be tested with this timing light. 2)When testing motorcycles, 2 strokes should be selected, the engine speed should be strictly controlled below 3500rpm. Incorrect electronics/settings
Great idea, built in battery, durable led lamp. Reality-useless, the led is not a bright as a xenon tube and the flash is erratic (possibly as a led doesn’t react to off/on light like a xenon flash does). Build quality is very poor for its price point. Instructions are limited and it doesn’t even come with a usb lead to charge it.The worst thing is the advance feature, which as many other reviewers state, is that the ‘default’ setting is 10 degrees which doesn’t make any sense. Trying to use the light on the default didn’t match with tdc or 10 degrees, and neither did reducing the setting to zero degrees! Returned with the usual excellent service from Amazon itself.Do not buy this product-get an Innova or similar
