Great journal that I will order again and again.
I bought this book for my first pregnancy after looking through (what seemed like) hundreds of journals. When I found out I was pregnant the second time (about a week ago) I took a look at other books again and then read through this one. The feelings it brought back were nothing short of heart-warming and I am so glad that it asked some of the questions it did ("Write a letter to baby" as opposed to "what are your hopes and dreams" made me feel like I had more freedom to talk about anything - though it does go over hopes in another section) and allowed for more than just "how are you feeling" and "what makes you nauseous". I also really enjoyed the detailed, relaxed style. It's a laid-back but thorough resource and the author doesn't have any of the alarmist "what ifs" like in the "What to Expect" books; it's all delivered matter-of-factually with plenty of tact and information to help you if you are worried.I really loved how much room they gave you to write. Sometimes I just used one line, others I'd fill a whole two pages. The room also leaves space for you to tape/staple/glue in whatever photos you'd like. As long as you're not the type who 'needs' a square showing you exactly where to put your photo (with the label already there) you can really work with the room they give you. Yes, that means the book is a bit bigger/thicker but considering the information it contains and the space to write I'm very, very happy with it. There's also a pocket in the back for you to stick mementos or photos if you're not the tape/staple/glue type (I put some of the of keepsakes from my shower in there).I'm really looking forward to filling out my second one and would highly recommend this to any pregnant woman looking for a calm, free-form pregnancy journal companion.

Good Journal- easy to keep up with
I bought this journal after reading some reviews on other journals. I'm happy with it. I really liked that it was a weekly journal, it was easy to keep up with without being overwhelming. I think it would be really hard to keep up with a daily journal, and there isn't always something to write about. The prompts were mostly appropriate to the week. If there was something specific I wanted to write about I would just cross out the prompt and put my own title and write about whatever I wanted. For example, I wanted to tell the story of sharing our news with our families. It didn't give a space for that so I crossed out the 8 week prompt and added the story of telling our families there. This is a good journal for someone who wants to learn a little about what is happening each week as well. It gives neat details about the fetus and its changes each week.I'm not crazy about how they have you tell your birth story. I'm going to print mine and put it in the folder pocket at the back. They don't give near enough space to fill in the story.Another negative is that there are not spaces for pictures. Just the folder in the back. All in all it's a good journal and I'm happy with my decision.

Half Journal/Half Pregnancy Updates/Advice
This journal gives a week-by-week play-by-play about what's happening and includes: a baby update (about how the baby is developing), a body update (what physical symptoms you might be having), and a mind update (for your mental state- suggestions of things to do like writing a letter to your baby, ideas on how to help your memory, etc). It includes lots of journal space, with some question prompts, but several blank pages with only "Dreams" or "Third Trimester Thoughts" as the prompt for a full page or two. I have enjoyed using the book, but ended up purchasing 2 more journals that I enjoy more. One is The Ultimate Pregnancy Journal which is a journal/scrapbook and much more fun to me as far as the questions they ask and and the other was the WTEWYE Pregnancy Journal Planner/Organizer which is much more technical and helps you keep track of every little thing like kicks, diet, and exercise. The Pregnancy Journal is a combination of fun and technical, but it didn't meet my needs of either category completely, so I opted for two others: one for fun and one for technical stuff.

Nice journal for recording thoughts during pregnancy
I am pregnant with my 2nd child so didn't want something that was really geared towards first pregnancies but still wanted to remember things about this one. I do like how this journal is organized, week by week, there are 3 sections each week-Baby Update, Body Update, and Mind Update. It's just enough info to have good reminders from last pregnancy but not so long that all you feel like you're doing is reading. Then there is a section for writing/journaling where they usually ask a question or two and you can record your thoughts about it. The only thing I don't love is that sometimes those questions don't spark much writing for me so a lot of the page is left blank. I have also just used the space to record other things that are going on instead of focusing on that question. There's also space in the beginning to record how you found out you were pregnant, doctor's appts, tests done, and other things. Overall, I like this journal and would recommend it.

good thought generator.
This book has a lot of writing prompts. Maybe too many. I found myself not able to write 3 pages a week on whet weird dreams I had or what I hoped babies favorite color was. I reassigned most of the pages for actual updates on my pregnancy that week. That aside, this book is packed with facts, check lists, and to do lists which are fun to read through each week.

My third journal!!!
I just bought this journal for the third time and I love it. It was the first thing I purchased when we found out we would be having baby #3!It is a great way to document changes in your body and remember details of each pregnancy. The set-up is perfect, just two pages per week, so I don't feel pressured to write everyday. Plus, it has great weight trackers and waist measurements (how else would I remember what my belly measured at 16 weeks with #2??) Now it is easy and fun to compare.

It has a great layout and lots of information
I was so excited to receive this pregnancy journal! I started at 8 weeks pregnant and tracked my pregnancy weekly. It has a great layout and lots of information. I was greatly impressed, until I hit 18 weeks. When I flipped the page I was devastated. I went from Week 17 page 79, too Week 28 page 129! Unless I'm doing this pregnancy thing wrong, I'm pretty sure 18 weeks should be next, correct?! I continued flipping pages until I hit Week 30 (in place of week 20). So I have no Week 18, 19 or 20 to record. The pages have been put in the wrong order. Well, that's what I assumed. I flipped to where week 28 is hoping to have week 18 in it's place. WRONG! Two week 18, 19 and 20's. This is NOT what I ordered. It's not a proper "book" and should not be sold as one. It's a misprint. Therefore, should be reduced or pulled from the shelves. I, unfortunately, missed to cut off return date. I guess I should have skipped ahead earlier. So, now I have to ditch this book and get a different one so I can properly track my pregnancy for an amazing keepsake, cause this just won't do. Massive Fail.

Love, love, love!
Love Paula Spencer's pregnancy journals! I've bought one for each of my pregnancies. Great learning week to week and lots of spots to add your thoughts and keep track of yourself.

This was a nice journal to write in weekly to check in
This was a nice journal to write in weekly to check in. The information was helpful and the check lists about what to ask at my midwife appointments was very helpful.

Ideal
Exactly what I was looking for. The perfect combination of space to write about your pregnancy as a keep sake, along with helpful notes on the growth of your baby and what's going on in that stage of the pregnancy.
