Tonight, I bought my Second Copy Of. this Wonderful Book, My last copy was stolen as. was my copy of the Webley Bulldog. I am so Happy I am a Webley Lover. (Happens when your folks are Brits. ) the Webley RIC That I own belonged to My Mums, Father that carried His along with his Webley M.K.IV and a Smith & Wesson Hand Ejector. in .455 . at the ending of WWI they were not many Jobs for British Cavalry Officers. He read the London times . and saw Scotland Yard. was looking for Demobbed Young Officers . well he went and got the job. and carried his Webley RIC in..450 Adams. when i turned 14 he gave me. His RIC. I reload for that old Revoler. to hold it in my Hand . is a Honour. I miss him and both my folks. any way I so love this book and if you are. a Fan of British arms. buy this book. the writing is Fantastic. as are the Photos. well anyway Joel Hope you are fine. fantastic photographic reference on a subject that has so much variation. Not a lot on each variation because there are so many variation, fantastic for identification of variants.

Great photographs and great layout. But I would classify it more of a cofffee table book than a useful reference.

These are not the classic "beauty shots" of previous great gun books. These are forensic evidence! No mark is missed or overlooked. Its value to collectors is wonderful. Full credit is due his colleagues, but without Mr. Blacks photographic and organizational skill the entire effort would be a morass of meaningless detail. It is safe to say that subject of the solid frame Webley has been brought to a full and successful conclusion.
