I originally picked up a gas can from a local store, and honestly, it felt like a total waste because of the factory spout. It leaked, dripped, and made transferring fuel into my equipment an absolute mess. I was ready to give up on the can altogether — until I installed the EZ-POUR Gas Can Spout Replacement.What a difference. This HI-FLO system completely changed my opinion of the gas can I purchased. The flow is smooth and controlled, and there’s no more spilling or fuel running down the side of the can. The seal is solid, and everything feels secure and well-designed. It actually works the way a gas can should work.The included extension is an added bonus and makes fueling even easier, especially for equipment with awkward fill angles. The flexible nozzle and flame arrestor give extra confidence and versatility. Never again will I deal with those original “junk” spouts that come standard on so many cans. This replacement is a total game changer and absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

I thought it was two spouts , instead of a spout with an extension. That’s on me for not reading the description , rather than going by the pictures. If you sell spouts separately , I might be interested in a couple more . The product didn’t leak when used pouring gas into my mower . I would say fair value for the price.

I have 4 five-gallon gas cans (all of them the "new" style) that I leave in the garage for our portable generator, snow thrower, and other various gas yard equipment. I bought one of these kits to make sure it would fit and work first before I ordered any more of them. Worked like a charm and just ordered one more kit. On two of the cans, this product worked great. So far very happy to have my cans back to the way they were before the gov't got involved and messed it all up. Of course, since they are the "new" style cans, I had to create a new vent hole on the opposite end. I used a 1/2" wood paddle bit (a.k.a. flat wood or spade bit, which is mentioned by name on the manufacturer's FAQ page on their website) and was able to install the little included push-in vent without a hitch. After reading some other reviews that said not to drill the hole directly on the center seam of the can, I followed that advice and drilled just slightly off to the side. I still have a few inches of gas inside the can and I know there's a chance that a little bit of plastic debris may have made it's way inside during drilling (a lot of it fell outside the can though) but I'm just going to tempt fate that the screening will catch it all until it's empty and then I will rinse and clean it out thoroughly and let it dry for about a week or so before filling it back up again. As for the other two gas cans, the kit would not fit them, and after looking at the manufacturer's compatibility info on their web page, I don't think there are any workarounds to it. The 2.25" inch mouth on the can appears to be too big for any of the manufacturer's kits or adapters to fit the mouth of the can. That is why I only ordered one kit at first to check compatibility first instead of any multi-packs. Turned out to be the right move instead of having to deal with returns now. Make sure that you check that the spout is a correct fit for your can prior to drilling any holes. Overall very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to go back to the way it was when gas cans were simple and easy before the gov't got involved.

Spout certainly is a 100% improvement over the mandated nightmare spouts. I have purchased 4 of these spouts and unfortunately the rubber seal seems to wear out/crack and leak after a short period of time.

this is good option for filling diesel without spillage.

Great product. Prevents spilling gas when refilling lawnmower and outboard etc.

Seems to works well my older cans.
