Perfect if you want a coffee full of granules. The filter is either a defective unit or is just poorly made. I actually had to check that I hadn't bought espresso coffee by accident, but it was the same coffee I always buy. We ended up fishing out our old supermarket brand cafetiere as it works much better, and cost a quarter of the price...The one good thing is that the size is perfect for us. Most are too big or too small, thus me giving two stars instead of one.Update: Feb 1st and the cafetiere has cracked. Got a little over a month out of it.

Glass cracked in base after first use! Water was hot not even on the boil, will not recommend and def will not buy again!

seems decently made after a few weeks use, filters the coffee well, the only negative is it`s actually brown not black,i was expecting it to be black from the photo`s/description and this is what i would of prefered,but overall i would recommend and buy it again i think.

I did read the reviews on this , but purchased it anyway. Should have taking people reviews. Quality is terrible. Not black at all more like maroon . Plastic not finished to a great standard. Was buying as a present so I sent it back straight away.
