Please allow to develop
I've seen several reviews with people saying this and other shades turned their hair green. I hope I can give a little advice:First: With any product containing henna, pay attention to the guide for how the colour will turn out on your natural hair. That does mean your natural hair; the results will not be the same if you're overdyeing chemically coloured hair.Second: Yes, it probably will add some degree of green for the first two or three days; it's not a vibrant green or anything but it is noticeable, so you might want to apply it when you know you don't have any big occasions for the next few days. Henna does not develop with the speed of chemical dye, hang in there, it's worth it.Third: Pay attention to the time it says to leave on the shade you have chosen because it's important. The makers haven't pulled those figures out of nowhere, and the amount of time you leave it on, varies from shade to shade.Fourth: Pay attention to the temperature of the hot water you use (a digital thermometer is a great choice for this). The temperature really can change the result.Finally. Natural dye is always a bit messier, more work, more time-consuming than a normal box dye, but it's worth it. If you have a sensitive scalp, it's not going to irritate it; it won't damage your hair. In fact, it will leave it in better condition. Just take your time, read the instructions carefully before starting and let the natural magic happen.

My hair went seaweed green 😂
This was a strange experience for me. I don’t know if it was down to the product or to me not leaving it on long enough. I got my partner to do my hair and it was more water then anything so I think it wasn’t a great experience for us for that reason. It smells very weird 😂 and my hair turned out seeweed green when I blowdried it but then when I woke up in the morning it started to go brown but not the darker, richer brown I expected to see on the box. Overall, 3 stars from me.

Easy to use
I have been trying to find a henna product that works since the one I liked went out of business. I've used many of the leading brands but they involved adding things or leaving the mixture in a bowl for hours. And, after that palaver, the colour was disappointing. My white hair went orange etc. This product only needs water. Hot water produces a redder colour and cooler water produces less red. It has a built-in conditioner too. And it works!

Dyed my patch test green BEWARE !
I normally use Khadi “light brown “ and decided I wanted darker highlights at the temples so tried a patch test of the “copper brown” DISASTER . So relieved I read a few reviews about the green so I only did a small patch test of hair which is white at the roots. As you can see from the photo it turned out properly green . I gave it 24 hours to oxidise and it did calm down a bit but yes was still GREEN tone next day ...... Had to go back over it the next day with the reliable “light brown “ which is more copper. I will never use this colour again!!!!

Don't leave it on too long
Thought I'll write a review, as many seem to have had the experience I've had recently of the hair turning out in unwanted colours (e.g. green, blue etc). I've been using this colour for 5 years very sucessfully. Until this year, when I didn't really pay much attention and rushed the colouring, paying little attention to how long I've had it on and my hair literally turned purple on my parting and front, on the grey hair (rest of hair is medium brown). I've been doing just that parting for months, not the rest of the hair. Helpless I wrote an email to Khadi ( I think it was Germany, I am German) and they were amazing. She talked me through exactly what might have gone wrong and what I can try to get rid off the purple quickly. Firstly, I had left it on for about two hours, just on the parting, which the lovely lady said is far too long. One hour is enough. Then I should always try to spread it through the rest of the hair a bit with a comb to avoid a heavy built-up (which can result in unwanted colours) on one part of the head. To remove the purple she suggested a paste of olive and coconut oil and leave it on the parting over night, which worked brilliantly. So now I look at the time, never leave it on for longer than 60 mins, I also don't make the paste too thick (rather do it regularly, once a month instead) and have never had the problem again. It will take a while to balance itself out, once you've used too much of the product or left it on for too long for too many times. I have bob length hair and the package lasts me for about 4-5 uses which shows that I'm not using that much of the product each time. I can only recommend to ask Khadi for advice, they have been incredibly helpful with me and every hair and hair history is different I guess.

Ok. But not that great.
I have mousy brown hair and chose golden brown khaki dye.I love natural hair dyes and enjoyed the smell and ingredients of this dye. However, it was quite a faff to ensure to get the mix kept at a certain temperature and for the instructions to require afterwards to not shampoo hair for two days.Mostly, the colour was not golden brown. Not even golden OR brown. My hair went darker and with a hue of dull ash! Thankfully it is winter and time for wearing a hat! 😉I would not use this dye again. It is similar to using a cheaper henna hair dye. Nothing special for the price and the colour was not cool!
