Just returned from a 10 day trip into the Alaskan wilderness using 2 of these motors mounted on 14’ Bris inflatables.- We flew into Becharof lake (2nd largest in Ak) in float planes so the motors had to be light weight & compact - 20 lbs @- We traveled half the length of the lake & back, several shorter Lake trips & up rivers using less than 10 gallons of fuel- At 3.5 hp these motors aren’t fast. They supplied constant, consistent power to get us to our destination- The motors have very short shafts making them ideal in swallow water such as rivers and creeks.- The motors started and ran every time. I am totally impressed with reliability, and all for $230? WowWHAT COULD BE BETTER- The gas cap came undone from both motors. I lost one overboard.- The manual could use some work, but gets you through if you’re patient.

Ordered the 6.0 hp and was shipped the 3.6 hp motor. Was extremely disappointed. Was looking into returning it but shipping was $279 to send back so just took the hit. 3.6 works good though just wish they didn’t false advertise the product.

I do a lot of fishing and I needed something quick and super cheap . This motor was very cheap however it worked great for the lakes I was putting my boat in. I have a 14 foot aluminum boat and I was able to troll really well. It’s comes with a plastic Repeller but I switched it out with a metal one.

I am very happy with this motor. I have it on a 12 foot aluminum flat bottom boat. I get about 6mph in no wind conditions. The break-in procedure is a pain, but necessary if you want it to last. I deducted a star because the pull rope mechanism broke after 2 pulls. They send a spare, that should tell you something. Well the second pull rope mechanism broke after just a few pulls too. I was going to send it back,but I contacted the seller and they agreed to send me 2 replacements. In the meantime, I found some on AliExpress and purchased two. The replacements from AliExpress were less than $9 each and are better construction. I always carry a spare and the Allen wrench to change it (it is very easy to change if necessary). I have not had another failure. This thing hardly uses any fuel and parts, such as a metal replacement propeller, are available here on Amazon. You just have to be patient with the 8 hour break-in procedure. Ran it in a 15 gallon plastic bucket but the water would overheat after about 45 minutes and I would have to let it cool down. It takes 3 or 4 pulls to start when cold and starts on the first pull most of the time when it is warmed up.

To be clear, this review is for the customer service I received. This company/person is in my top 10 for customer service! This is more important to me than the item I buy. If you think about it whether the product is good, terrible or just faulty, if you don’t have good customer service you will get nowhere. When I purchased this motor there was definitely something wrong with it. By the time we put it on the boat and in the water to give it a go the initial warranty had expired. I communicated with the company and they explained the warranty had expired. They tried to help me to get to the problem and perhaps be able to fix it but I was not capable of doing what was required. They graciously gave me a full refund upon the return of the item including the return shipping. I must tell you I am very impressed with this company. There are not many left out there that honor their customers anymore. This is an honorably run company!

I bought this motor for my boat 🚢 and in san luis reservoir did not allow me to use it because it's used oil.mix in the gasoline, now I am trying to return it and they changing for returning back this product when they should no sell or sent the product to california because we are not able to use it, please do not order this product if you le in california and do fishing in san luis reservoir.

Everything the shipping fellow was very friendly love ups and FedEx but hate that the ad is incorrect plus the engine came with a broken clamp very very disappointed was excited to take my wife out and was just rained on our whole day with this bad news

For a new motor under $250, this thing performs quite well. The only complaints (and they aren't really that) are that the motor is a bit noisy and vibrates a bit more than I would expect (but is within tolerable levels). That being said, for the price, it's a great motor for my setup.Last outing, the 3.5hp pushed my 1232 jon boat, with wood floor, benches, and front deck, gear, trolling motor and battery, and my wife and myself, to 4mph. Making it a great motor for cruising smaller setups.If I had just this motor, myself, lite gear, and the boat (1232 jon boat) I think it would push ~8mph. My particular hull is only rated for up to a 7hp motor (for reference).
