Absolute Pressure (Orca Sports)

This is my favorite book EVER! I have read it 3 times. I am 12 and I have only found 1 book I really like and that's this one! I finished it in 2 days every time! everybody is talking about how good hunger games is. But I disagree because it takes a while to got to the good part of those types of books. This book starts good on the FIRST PAGE!!! I HIGHLY recommend it! <3

Absolute Pressure is a great adventure book for kids in middle school on up. Although a bit below his reading level, I bought it for my 17 year old son who loves ocean adventures. I decided to sit down and read it and found that even adults will enjoy this great read. Sigmund does a great job of taking his readers on adventures that make your senses come alive all the while making you think about honor and integrity.

Educational if nothing else not my kind of book but it was ok for the first time on reading it

Absolute Pressure by Sigmund Brouwer is definitely a book you should get. I chose this book because I read the back of the book which grabbed my attention. The back talked about how Ian who has some odd senses has to save Uncle Gord who Ian believes in in grave danger. The danger turns out to be more complicated and scary than he could have ever thought. Sherri, the girl Ian likes, makes Ian get these weird sensory feelings. Ian wonders what would happen if he told her she made him feel like that. Ian works with his Uncle Gord and his crush Sherri and their dive shop. Ian spends summers in Key West to work at the shop and drive. Ian went diving and there were some complications that can only happen if someone messed with the gear. Ian later finds out that Uncle Gord is working with three men to find a lost treasure. Ian does research and finds out that Uncle Gord is in danger. Uncle Gord sends Ian back home so Ian won’t be in danger, but Ian does not give up on helping his uncle. The book is very good and has a deep plot. There are lots of complications and lots of danger. The author is very good at making the book interesting. There are no boring parts of the book, every part has something interesting going on. The book definitely has some areas where it is off topic from the book. If you like stories with lots of complications then you will like this book. This book I would definitely recommend because I love all the plot twists that the book has. Ian definitely goes through so many things including almost dying. Ian loves to dive and his adventures underwater are always a blast. Uncle Gord definitely causes the plot twists. Uncle Gord also goes through so many things. This book is definitely a must to get.

My 12 year old absolutely loved this book.

Good mystery adventure; sympathetic characters; tight plot. I knocked out one star because the diving and shark behavior is sensationalized.

It kept my interests and had a surprise ending. Nice light reading especially for the beach! Hope you enjoy it too!
