Can’t fault this for the price. First time using one of these pumps, so took me a few tries to angle it correctly before the solder gets hard again, but very easy once you know how. Build quality is very good and should last a long time. I actually found the desoldering wick that came with it to be very useful too. Was also worried About the plastic tip melting but I have had no issues with this so far. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend to others.

Pump is excellent and well constructed, and the soft sleeve makes it easy to hold at odd angles without slipping. It's easy to empty and clean; the section with the tip is held on by a bayonet fixing, so a small twist releases it.In my case only one reel of solder wick was present in the package.

Couldn't find one anywhere in any hardware store. You get bonus extras with it for a good price

I retired a 40 years(!) old solder sucker after the spring weakened. I had a cheap sucker, but the end is not removable, so it will eventually clog with solder. This one has a removable tip, so not a problem. Suction is good, and the plunger seal is also good. If you fire it with a finger over the nozzle, the plunger stops partway up.The solder wick dispensers are small, but they're not the reason why I bought the sucker.

I bought this pack for the desoldering braids rather than the pump as it comes with six reals of braid (3 different sizes, 2.0, 2.5 & 3.0mm), each 1.5metre in length. For six reals and a pump the product is great value. The braids work well, simply apply a hot soldering iron on top of the braid positioned on the solder joint to be desoldered and wait for the solder to melt. Then pull away the braid and it's job done!! Nice an neatly too. The pump looks sturdy enough. Plunger action is smooth and release action works fine.

This product appears to be very well built and very comfortable to hold. The problem is that often, when you are desoldering, it is very difficult to find the release button by feel alone when it comes time to suck up the solder. If the button was raised or had a texture of some kind, this would not be a problem. I suppose it is possible to modify the product in some way to counteract this issue. Although it's been 30 years since I have used any kind of solder sucker, I certainly do remember the old models being easy to use by feel alone, thanks to a thoughtful design.
