My father celebrated his birthday today and I don't think he has ever thought of decanting his whiskey, so this was a great gift I knew he didn't have. It's attractive enough to be out all the time, and it serves the purpose of saving him the seven steps to his liquor cabinet when he wants a drink.The decanter and stand are just as attractive as pictured and my father was thrilled. The only downside I could mention is no funnel is provided with this set, but that's easily remedied. What went beyond expectations for me were the glasses, they are heavier and much higher quality than I expected. They feel great and the whole set displays great.Since everything arrived as expected I had no need for customer service so I can't speak directly to their quality, but I did get an email from them shortly after the purchase with direct contact information for refund or replacement if I was at all unsatisfied. They also display their email in large print on the box with a 2 year guarantee. And they have their email address printed several times on an insert speaking again to customer satisfaction. I wouldn't be surprised if they are very responsive to customer needs.Whether you think it serves a purpose to decant whiskey or not (I don't... good whiskey never lasts long enough), there is no denying how good this decanter looks. I definitely recommend this to anybody who is even on the fence about purchasing a decanter. The value is outstanding for the quality of this product.

My husband likes bourbon and has bought some very nice bottles. I thought this would be a nice way to show some of those off. It works perfectly. The woodwork is excellent and the glass container is thick enough that I am not worried it will break. The glass topper just sits in the top and does not seal. This is not an issue because I don't see the glass going anywhere because the wood holds it nicely in place. I loved this one in particular because you do not have to pick up the entire thing to fill a glass. You simply move the handle on the front. I do wish there was a little inset in the wood on the bottom front for the glasses. The wood is straight across so the glass sits a little further out than comfortable when filling a glass. It's a great value for the money and wonderful way to add pizzazz to a bar. My husband's Dad liked it so much we bought him one for his own bar.

Bought this because I got tired of my other decanters always dripping after a pour; so far, I love it. Assembly was easy, I just gave the wood a polish with some Pledge before assembling, and another wipedown afterwards. The bottle looks very nice, whether it's half full with a normal 750mL bottle, or completely full at 1200mL.Pouring is as easy as it seems, just remember to lift the topper before opening the spigot to allow air in, otherwise the pour is very, very slow due to lack of air exchange between the liquid and bottle. Just a few drops come out after you close the spigot, so let your glass stay in place for a few seconds afterwards and you won't have to wipe anything up.Overall very pleased with this, 5 stars all around

After reading the reviews and looking at all the pictures, I decide to purchase this unit, it came very well, packaged, and on time!I opened the package and read the directions in full before I assembled, the joints are all compression fitted meaning. You really don’t want to take it apart after you push and assemble the wood frame before I added the glass canister. I rubbed a little coat of lemon oil on it, bringing the beautiful wood to a nice luster! I very carefully assembled the spout into the glass canister. Make sure you push it in straight. You’ve only got one shot!After assembly and letting the lemon oil dry, I added a whole bottle of black label whiskey very happy with this product. It looks great on our bar and is actually fun to use. I would highly recommend purchasing one or two of these items you’ll be glad you did!

Got this for my dad and a couple days later, the ceiling collapsed and a chunk of it hit that, and the only damage was done to the corner of the wood. no cracks or scratches on the glass.

So nice I had to buy it twice

This was a gift for my dad. We both enjoy Makers Mark Bourbon. He usually buys the 1.75L bottles. This decanter almost holds 1.75L, but not quite. This decanter has a quality wood base and it's just a beautiful piece to admire once it's completely assembled and filled with a quality bourbon. I paid close attention to making sure the spout was properly installed. No leaks and it pours beautifully. You do have to pull open the plug at the top to allow the bourbon to flow, but this should be expected (that should tell you that it seals very well). Overall I'm very happy with the decanter and my dad thanked me multiple times as he loves it.

it is glorious. I really like the glass stopper on top, and nice pour spout. It holds a lot of liquid. a 1.75 barley has any left after filling this up. I get decent scotch but i could see this turning anything into what seems like really expensive stuff. I am putting it right in the middle of my bar eventually. And a great price for a gift. I wonder what the tube in it is suppose to do. Mine holds a little bit of air, very cool bonus feature.
