Bomb proof
I have two mic cases. The Gator case is very well made with quality latches. I have had many gator cases and they are excellent quality. The foam is nice and holds the mics securely. This case will last FOREVER and survive being dropped off a truck. Buy with confidence. It IS a bit heavy but that is what you get in a sturdy road case.

Bad design for this case!
The case is built well but too narrow.. a Shure SM58 or SM57 fits fine but a BETA 57a is too long and the case won't close. I have several condenser mics that won't fit either. Bad design. I would expect very long mics to not fit the holes and have to be laid in the other compartment but they should have just made the case an inch wider and most mics would fit. I use lots of BETA mics-57a and 87a and 87c and they are the primary mics I wanted to protect in this case.
