Biddeford Blankets Comfort Knit Electric Heated Blanket with Analog Controller, Throw, Zebra Print

Biddeford blankets are always good quality BUT like so many heated blankets , the cord is not long enough to allow for convenient positioning of control. They should be between 13-14 feet and I’ve only found a handful of manufacturers who make them.

The blanket works, sort-of, but it is definitely not plush. You can feel large thick/stiff wires all over in between the 2 layers that seem to be separating themselves. The electric blanket I had as a kid in the 1960's was MUCH nicer. At first the heat feels nice, it is not a direct heat, but more of a radiant heat. But the problem is after a while it seems to stop working. I turn it off then on again to try to get heat. It never really gets hot enough for me, but that is probably a personal thing.The worst thing about this blanket is the controller. It has to plug-in at the foot area and they give you LESS than 3' of cord, so every time you want to change the settings, you have to get up to change it (2' 11" is not long enough to put close to your hand), very inconvenient. I see a lot of reviewers saying that the dial moves too easily, I can see how that would be true (big dial, very loose and easy to turn), but for me the controller is so far away I just never hit it by accident.The Owner's manual is HORRIBLE, you have to figure out your model number continuously as you read because the manual skips from one model to another constantly (good luck figuring it out or finding it, it is on the control, but it is hard to spot). Do I have the TC13B1-T or the TC12, or the TC15 or the TC16B0, or the TC11 or the TC13 nope, I have the TC13BA which is NOT EVEN LISTED in the manual! And the print is TINY, good luck reading it. And look at all those "DO NOT" warnings written all over the manual, good grief, what is allowed? There are a lot of circle icons with a line through them, I guess than means do not do this, but again, I cannot figure most of them out. One of those pictures looks like a washing machine from the 1930's. It is a very confusing and poorly written Owner's manual.Blanket says it "Conforms to UL STD" but is not UL listed as far as I can tell.I give it 2.5 stars.

I purchased this item thinking it was a king size blanket (my mistake, I didn’t read the dimensions). Nevertheless, this got me through three cold nights while I waited on a larger purchase. It has an automatic shut off and is toasty warm if you layer in under a blanket. Now I use it around my shoulders as I work (and it’s much better than my electric heater). Recommended.

Handy for use in my recliner, not to big.

A few years back I purchased an expensive electric blanket with digital controls for my wife. I also came across a similar Biddeford throw, the older version of this one. The big one died in a matter of weeks, the throw worked so well I went back after Christmas and bought two more. We have used and abused them for the past 3-4 years now, one by one they died off but for the money they gave us 10x the service for 1/4 the cost. I just ordered three new ones - this product here, which is the closest thing Amazon had to our old ones, the controls are identical. I will not buy an electric blanket with digital controls again. The new ones work so far, I have one on my side of the bed and my wife has the last of the old ones on her side. I'd give this blanket 5 stars if not for the very slippery dial, which someone mentioned how easily it moves. You need to make sure it's not up against something or on the floor because it will change the setting with just a nudge. As opposed to a digital control, which simply dies after a few weeks or is so ridiculous (like a 5-level menu system to control something that needs only an on-off switch and a dial) that it never works at all.

I use this under my fitted sheet to warm up my bed. It’s perfect. Love that this one has the dial. I wasn’t happy with the digital ones.

I live in an RV with little insulation and this keeps me toasty on the rare cold Florida night.

I love the color and ease of use. I was a bit disappointed that the throw does not get warmer. I put it to high and it merely gets slightly warm. I cannot imagine what the low temp would be like. Also, it appeared that someone else had purchased it and returned it as I saw the tags cut off. It was labeled NEW. Technically it is used if someone pulled it apart and took labels off and then returned it. Under normal circumstances I also would have returned it but I love the color and it was the last one in stock in that color so I chose to keep it.

Shipped as promised. Soft throw and easy to use. Would make a good gift.

Not sure how it works. Gave it to my son and girlfriend for Christmas last year. They separated and she took the blanket. When I got it, it looked nice, soft and inviting.

I ordered a chevron print blanket like in the pic... black and white just like the pic. Well nope I got a navy blue weird pattern one instead. Not soft, very coarse fabric I hate it.

Been using this blanket for a couple of months...love it as does the dog! We snuggle up each morning & evening. Cord & control box are very durable...not cheaply made...sturdy.

Quality was not very good. The blanket appeared to be two pieces with the heating element in the middle but no stitching to keep the two pieces of fabric together.
