The chess board is not included. This is a customer who has permanently installed a chess board on their property. In this case, the board is painted onto the balcony of their resort. We sell chess boards that work with this set or you can have one made locally if you want a more permanent board. You will need to put sand inside the base of the chess pieces. The only problem I have is that some children are really ruff with them and can break the top part of the chess piece off.
