AvedaColor Conserve Strengthening Treatment for Unisex, 4.2 Ounce

Admittedly, I got this on prime day for 76% off, and would not have paid the $40 price point for it…but let me tell you…this is worth every penny of the $40. It has a heavenly scent…makes your hair feel unbelievable silky, and is just a premium Aveda product. I used to use Aveda all of the time, before I could no longer afford it. Just a little goes a long way. When it goes on sale again…I’m hoarding it! A MUST HAVE!

I have naturally grey hair, dyed red at an Aveda salon for over a decade. This product, the Strengthening Treatment from Aveda's Color Conserve collection, works best for me and always has. It keeps my red vibrant and my hair in generally healthy-looking condition, The regular Color Conserve conditioner doesn't work for me at all. Unfortunately for me, for 2023 Aveda reformulated their entire Color Conserve collection (now in the wine-colored bottles), rebranded it the Color Control collection, and discontinued the entire Color Conserve collection. I've tried the new Color Control products, and all of them leave my hair looking like a dry, frizzy, over-processed mess. They're beyond horrible, worse than cheap drugstore brands! My Aveda stylist says that almost all her clients hate the new formulation. I don't know what I'll do when this discontinued product is no longer available, even on amazon.

This made my hair feel great. Sadly, it was only enough for about 2.5 uses for me. I have dry, thick curly hair down to my waist. I wanted to lighten my hair a few shades but didn't want to sustain a bunch of damage. I used this product a few days before the bleaching process. I feel my hair is in better condition after this treatment and the bleaching than before I used it. Hair felt silky and healthy after the first use. Wish it was a bit cheaper, but will buy again when I have the funds.

It does seem to help my color, and it's got a nice feel...helps tame frizzies.

The really works, my hair feels silky. It says in the instructions to just leave for less than 10 minutes but I usually leave for longer for maximum effect. Smells great too. 👍

the product is very small and expensive. The smell is just NO. I've used other Aveda products for years, but this is not for me at all. My hair felt smooth, so it might have worked tho.
