Makes mixing concrete a lot easier
This product does what it is advertised to do, which is great for us do it yourself people who don't want to rent a concrete mixer.Pros:Concrete mixes well in just 30 seconds. The fact that you can roll it allows you to roll it over to the desired location instead of carrying it or pushing it in a wheel barrel. The lid has a built in water measuring cup.Works great with the pathmate concrete molds.Rinses out easily, so cleanup is a breeze.Cons:The only real con I can see with this product is that it should have a handle on it somewhere which would make dumping the concrete out of it a little easier. I also see that others have said the measuring lid is not accurate, but I think that it works just fine. The problem is that not every bag of concrete is consistent so each mix may vary a little. It can also be a chore to clean the mixer and lid after each use, but if you do this you will not have any problems with concrete residue building up on the lid or o-ring. If you do not rinse it after each use, it can leak or can be tough to open the lid.Final Thoughts; All in all I think that this is a great little product. I wouldn't recommend it for huge concrete jobs, but for small patios, pathways, etc. this works great. It literally takes about 1/4 the time to mix concrete in this compared to mixing concrete in a bucket or wheel barrel.

Worked Good, but Bending is Required
This worked great for me. I was using 60 lb. bags of cement and the lid was great for measuring the water. The cement was consistent with each bag, which was nice. It would be nice if they put indents in the bottom of the barrel to use as handles when pouring the concrete out of the bucket.I will say that the picture of the man rolling this with his foot is quite far-fetched. There is no way that worked, but the barrel was easy enough for my kids to roll around the yard. You have to make sure and rinse it out between each batch, especially the lid as the small bits of rock get caught in the gasket. Speaking of the gasket, you have to carefully roll it the opposite way that it will roll into the slot or it will roll out.Overall, it was a great product for someone who is in fairly decent physical shape. Take note though that it takes some muscle and you have to bend over a lot to roll it.

Great portable mixer
I'm a pond contractor and love this Odjob for smaller projects. I use it for mixing Portland all the time. It's so easy to throw in the back of the truck for jobs. I even use the lid to scoop extra powder out of the bag if my mix was too wet. However, I generally have to add more water than the lid indicates but its a great reference marker. Also, if I only use half a bag of crete I pour the rest of the dry mix in the Odjob and it keeps until my next project so it saves us money too. I consider it one of my essential tools for any job.I gave this 5 stars but there are a couple of minor things that they could improve. The lid is tough to get on and off, especially when the barrel has no load in it. You have to straddle the barrel and hold it with your feet while you try to turn the lid. Maybe silicone threads or something would help? I'm going to try teflon tape or lithium grease for this. Also the rubber gasket comes out all the time. It might be nice to have a permanent gasket or a little ribbing in there to hold it better so you can take it out for cleaning but it wont really fall out on it's own.

Septer Odjob Mixer
Scepter 04239 7-Gallon Odjob Mixer This little mixer works really well for what it is .... a small mixer. This thing does work well if you're only doing a couple of bags at a time that weigh 60# or less. It will mix the 80# bags but it complains about it. I would rather take the time and mix two 40# bags than try the 80# ones again. I bought this handy little item mainly so I would have a way to move the mixed cement to the bathroom I was working in without making a huge mess inside the house. I mixed and moved seven 80# bags of cement by setting it in and out of a bedroom window and carried it to the bathroom without making a mess of the carpet or hard wood floors. The only caution is on cleaning. You must clean the threads, both top and bottom, very good between each use. If you don't, grit and sand get in there and will jam the top so that it is really hard to get unscrewed. Over all it was $32 bucks well spent.

waste of money
This thing is useless. It doesn't do a full bag of quickrete. After using it once I ended up dumping it in my cement tub and just mixing with a spade. At first try the water and mud came out the gasket. Most of the krete did not mix. Mostly powder. I did get use out of the lid although a measuring pitcher works better. The lid is so shallow that you have to pour water in slowly or it splashes out. Using this for the mold it is advertised with only makes that job twice as hard. As you have to mix half a bag at a time and the mold takes a full bag. Just use a big tube or a wheel barrel and mix with a spade. This tool is a waste of money. Do not buy. Every professional will just laugh at you because they know this method is useless. Cement is really easy to mix with a broom stick.
