It definitely created a vacuum, and it did seem to preserve the flavor of the stuff sealed up so... yeah. Simple, affordable enough, and it had the bowl size needed so yeah... not a bad little gadget.

The machine operates very quietly (astonishingly so), and forms a vacuum tight enought to where I can't open the container after it finishes. One-button, one-touch operation makes this a no-brainer.Pro:Simple, yet effective. Seems well enought built, and fits PERFECTLY into the groove on the lid of the container. No figthting/adjusting/shifting necessary. Quiet operation. Quick to complete (just a few seconds.Con:AA batteries. I mean really?! In a world of lithium options, who still makes AA battery operated products? Fosa does. That was disappointing. If it wasn't for things like this, I would have tossed my NiMH batteries YEARS ago.Thoughts:All in all, I'm pretty stoked about this system. Leftovers will last longer, when vacuumed. My wife is excited to start using them for pre-served yogurt and stuff for her lunches. They also seem about the right size to store pre-cooked or pre-formed hamburger patties in the freezer. When I got our vacuum sealer last year to process wild game, I first learned that you can also vacuum seal jars. I honestly had no idea it was a "thing". In order to use our traditional vacuum sealer, I would have had to buy a separate kit and then, pull out the big sealer for a project just for jars. We have two apple trees in our yard and I wanted to make some freezer apple sauce. I also wanted to give this vacuum jar sealing thing a go but I didn't want to have to drag out the sealer, buy a kit etc.... so I opted for this and the jars that go with it. I would have had to buy jars anyway since I prefer to use plastic instead of glass in the freezer.I think the plastic containers that go with this sealer are awesome and the nice little compact sealer is a great alternative to using a big bag sealer.

Well it does what the box says which is "push the start button once and the vacuuming is done within seconds". It's battery operated so it really does all the work. It takes 4 batteries and of course it depends on the quality batteries used will make the difference in the battery life. The device is small, compact and well made. It can basically be stored anywhere. I have noticed and noticeable difference in lettuce and fruit when I vacuum out the air.

I bought this to use with the 4L Breadbox. It doesn't work anything like the video where you can see it immediately pull down as it draws a vacuum. The couple of times I got it to work it was much slower than shown in the video. I am returning it for an exchange.I went to the FOSAHOME.com support site, but it was just a place to download the manual. It didn't actually offer any support for their products,,, nor any way to contact them. So far I'm not impressed with this company.

I make a lot of specialty home made soups and this product makes it so practical to store for later, love it....
