Does what it says it does
Great as a mattifying powder and not noticeable as a powder on the face.I use it on my forehead and on my nose as I have an oily T zone so need something to blur out the shiny bits and this works great , especially for mature skin as it does not sit on the skin and emphasise pores in fact it does have a blurring effect.An invisible solution to stop shiny bits on your face without looking cakey or too made up, what's not to like.

I wanted a small container of loose powder for travel. Solid powders overload my oily skin which is even worse in warmer climates. This proved to be better than expected. The texture is very fine and the colour is excellent - so many shades termed translucent are far too pale, making you look like a ghost - and the integral filter means you don't use too much. This has a very slight cream/banana tinge that disappears into the skin. Would definitely buy again.

I recently tried the Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder in the mini size, and I must say it's become a great alternative to the popular Laura Mercier powder. What sets it apart for me is the absence of talc, which is known to be less than ideal for the skin, causing acne issues.However, being someone with dry skin, it wasn't the perfect match for me as it tends to emphasize dry patches. But for anyone with normal or oily skin, it should work even better.This powder boasts decent ingredients and performs admirably. While it might not be my absolute favorite, it's undeniably a solid option. It effectively sets my makeup without the unwanted side effects of talc, making it a healthier choice for my skin. If you're in search of a reliable translucent setting powder with cleaner ingredients, the Hourglass Veil is definitely worth considering.

Not translucent
Definitely not translucent, a bit whitish, but reducing the amount used makes it just about acceptable. Not ideal but once I'd tried it, it's used!! Wouldn't buy again.
