They are hard plastic and fit my 5 year old perfect. When I first put them on my toddler says I hurt her but they don't hurt while on.

I love these headbands! I had such a hard time finding cute headbands that weren't flimsy and didnt look like they were made for 5 year olds. These are great! They look great, they're sturdy and were only 2 bucks a piece!

Get what you pay for
Overall the quality was abysmal. The headbands break when trying to put them on an adult or child’s head. The plastic is thin and flimsy. There is a good variety in style and they are generally comfortable if you can get one on without breaking.Would not recommend based on cheap quality.
