SSD's are the only way to go for boot drives
I bought the 256GB version to replace an ATA-5 40GB laptop drive in my ancient Compaq Presario 1500. After eighteen years, the ATA-5 drive had developed bad sectors but I couldn't find a replacement anywhere (obsolete technology). The best I could do was visit the forums where I found that mSATA drives now existed and there were frames available which would let them cram into a laptop IDE interface. All my other computers use SSD's for boot drives with SATA's for data storage so this was definitely the way to go. The 256GB only formatted to 131GB - my best guess is that the obsolete laptop bios was the limiting factor. Still, it worked and it boots to a login screen in 30 seconds. That is compared to the bad sector HDD that took SIX MINUTES to get there, and then consistently crashed at random intervals. I would give it five stars if I could have gotten all 256GB but I'm glad for what I got.

Difficult RMA Process
Update Aug 9, 2019:After some cajoling via the Amazon message system the seller decided to send me a new drive. I received the new drive today. The RMA process via China is ridiculous. I had to wait several weeks so they could get more from China. They did not understand (even though I repeated it several times) that I could not return/exchange via Amazon as the return window passed. However, I have received a replacement. I do not consider the listing as "High Level Enterprise Class" to be accurate. We'll see how the replacement goes. Three stars for lack of longevity.Original Review July 18, 2019:I purposefully bought a drive much larger than my need to prevent burnout of the data area...... Then my Pi cannot read the SSD. it can write and create partition tables, but returns "e2fsck: Bad magic number in super-block while trying to open /dev/sda". No superblocks work even after reformat....The seller says there is a US warehouse to handle returns.. Not according to website; must send back to China. No thanks liars. Not wasting money sending your crap back through customs so you don't get it anyway.Buyer Beware, description says 3 year warranty, website says 2 year (and ship to China). Recommend STAY AWAY.

Haven't had it all that long, but appears to be an excellent product. I installed it as second drive in my Lenovo x220 and now have a very flexible machine. I am using it mainly to run automotive diagnostic interface software that requires win 7 and find it boots very fast and performs superbly. I would purchase another product without hesitation from this vendor.

This thing is pretty great. I dropped the 128GB version in to the WWAN slot of a Lenovo x131e to use with the preinstalled 320GB spinning hard disk. It's a dual boot configuration with Ubuntu Mate 16.04 and Windows 8.1 Pro. Both OSes boot from power off to a login screen in less than 10 seconds and response time opening programs is excellent. I'm very satisfied with this device which brought new life to an older laptop.

SSD for IDE laptop - works great!
Used with "Ableconn IIDE-MSAT mSATA SSD to 2.5-Inch IDE Adapter" to replace older IDE laptop hard drive. Solid State drive for IDE interface - works great. Laptop boots in seconds.

Good price, good performance
Bought for some Motion J3500 tablets, which use a different interface but we also purchased some adapters to make these work. Much, much faster than the 5400 RPM HDDs that were in those tablets. Haven't had any issues with them so far and they are in the field every day.

Solid fast drive
Seems great, I've only had it for about 2 months, but no issues with install, plenty fast, and it's rated to be very durable, so seems like a good buy.

Works like a charm
Works like a charm. The computer this was going into only had a 125G which is a bit small. Used a small mSATA to SATA converter to clone the small drive to this one. Save the fuss of reinstalling windows 10.
