Takes a couple of weeks to see improvement but bear with them
Started our 11 year old German shepherd on this two weeks ago and gradually I'm seeing an improvement in her mobility. She's been on steroids for two years, we're down to half of one a day now and have taken the past year to gradually reduce her dose. Unfortunately this has led to a bit of muscle loss, a hygroma on her elbow etc. Fortunately all of the side effects and ailments are now reversing and healing well and fast. She started limping a few weeks ago and I've tried other natural options but they all affected her stomach, caused blood in her poo which is a symptom of the condition that I've cleared up. The boswellia has worked the best. Still a bit of a limp but her mobility is getting better and I've noticed the muscles on her back legs, thigh area, are starting to build up. I started her on the lowest dose, I wanted to take it slow and make sure it didn't cause blood on her poo. I imagine if your dog doesn't have any other ailments you would start on the high dose then after a couple of weeks drop down to the maintenance dose. So yes it might take a bit longer to get Valentines mobility back to the best it can be but it's better to be safe in her case and give the boswellia a chance. I'm so grateful that I've found a product that works. She does get other supplements for her mobility and the condition she had that required the steroids. If you want to know what else she gets, please feel free to ask me. I'm more than happy to help anyone out with the health of their dog, especially when using natural remedies rather than medication

Probably good
These did not seem to make any difference to my dog. I cannot say they are good or bad but have stopped using them.

Seems to be helping my elderly GSD
This is the second time I've purchased these capsules. I have a GSD who is nearly 10 and has numerous joint problems. He is already on meds from his vet but a friend suggested trying these as well (has his cimalgex with morning feed and boswellia in evening feed). Didn't realise how much they were helping until I ran out and noticed he seemed more tender when I was grooming him - had a little grumble which is unlike him. Ordered more and was back to his normal self when I groomed him a week later. Can't say for sure this was the reason he was a tad grumpy but not going to risk running out again. They are a reasonable price and I would definitely recommend giving them a go if your dog has joint problems but you should obviously check with your vet first :-)

Aids pain relief but doesn't fix the joints.
Presume flavour is good as my German Shepherd eats with her food no problem. She takes a cocktail of joint tablets do can't in all honesty say which ones are most helpful so can't really attest that these are the best BUT I won't stop giving them we ith others as she doesn't seem to have pain.None of them 'cure' the underlying problem, obviously - she'd 14 years old.But as long as she's pain free and has quality of life then I feel she is ok.I will continue with these. These may help pain but they do not help the joints. After for than 30 days in these her back legs collapsed and sadly had to have our GS euthanased today.

Seems to be helping with stiffness
My dog experiences stiffness a few hours a long walk. I have tried a few joint care supplements but I am never sure whether they really help. Certainly none seem to help overcome the stiffness. However I'm pretty sure that this one is making a difference. I have been giving ito him for about a 4 weeks now, 2 tablets twice a day (27kg dog) and he is noticeably less stiff when he gets up from his post-walk nap and throughout the rest of the day.

Suits my dog
I find this works better for my dog than the much more expensive and popular brand of joint supplement. She is ten and may need some something stronger in the future but at the moment she is doing well on this.

The natural alternative
One of my dogs had a back problem, the other had a hind leg injury, the results from the vet gave the option of pain killing meds or a possible operation. The prescription meds caused her to vomit and so I put her on 400mg of this product. She is now running around as good as new, no limp even after a walk when she’s tired. My other 13 year old dog has had no more problems with his back. I have all my family on the human version of Boswellier.
