Avedis Zildjian CompanyL80 Low Volume China Cymbal - 18 Inches

The cymbal is the usual Zildjian greatness so that's a given.What impressed me is the packaging. Yes, the packaging.(It came) in a nice box, with cushion and .... in a Zildjian-logo plastic bag.

I've added the 18" China to round out my L80 set: 14" hats, 16" crash, 18" crash/ride, 20" ride, 10" splash, plus a Gen16 16" China. The Gen16 is definitely more usable, and the one to get if you can only get one and can gear the cost difference. The L80 is a bit loud compared to the others, and needs to be struck on the apex of the bow on the "underside," while the Gen16 can also be struck along the edge of the bow, but it's fine to throw in for a different texture. Quite pleased with it after learning its quirks.

The holes in them was a great idea, but if you hit the Low Volume Cymbal hard, you'll bend them a bit or so. But, the plus is the Low Volume Cymbals are great with mute pads on drums. With it, you can play along a good wattage stereo music at minimal, but you're still hearing a cymbal sound and Low.

Item came as described and works well.

Use this for my practice kit. It's excellent.

you need to hit it WAY lighter than your L80's it really projects. that being said with a good hit it sounds awesome just way to loud to be LV so you gotta hit it soft and it losses a lot of its beauty

Great low volume sound.Zildjian continues to create solid products.

The coating on the L80's really get dirty/mark up fast. The china doesn't have much of that trashy tone but they are quiet and I prefer playing on these to rubber silencers or other options for practicing.

Suena excelente, explosivo, trashy, es perfecto para complementar el set y se adapta muy bien con los sonidos de los demas platillos de la misma serie.

Good quality and enough silent.
