Good for Quick Cleaning Jobs, but Not Ideal for Tough Burnt-On Messes I received the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Sponge through the Amazon Vine program and tried it in several areas around my home. For everyday cleaning, it works well and generally does what it claims to do. I used it in the bathroom on surfaces and in the bathtub, where it removed soap residue and general buildup pretty easily. It also handled light grease and surface marks in the kitchen without much effort. I also tested it on my smooth-top electric stove (the type with a flat glass surface where the burners heat underneath). It removed lighter grease and surface residue, but it struggled with tougher, baked-on spots that sometimes develop on these cooktops. Those harder stains still required a cleaner or scraper specifically designed for glass stovetops. The sponge functions more like a disposable cleaning pad and gradually wears down with use. In my experience, each sponge lasted around three to four cleaning sessions before it started breaking down, which seemed reasonable for this type of product. In terms of value, these are great to have on hand for quick cleaning situations or occasional touch-ups. However, for long-term everyday cleaning, a regular sponge and dish soap may be more cost-effective. Overall, the Magic Eraser works well for light cleaning and quick jobs around the house, especially on surfaces like sinks, tubs, and counters. Just keep in mind that it’s better suited for lighter cleaning rather than heavily stuck-on messes.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is such a well-known brand for a reason—they consistently make reliable products that actually do what they say. This variety pack is a great example of why it’s worth sticking with the original. The sponges work really well on everything from scuffed walls to greasy stovetops, making tough cleaning jobs a lot faster. One of the biggest differences you’ll notice is the size and quality. These erasers are thicker and larger than the generic brands I’ve tried in the past. Because they have that extra bulk, they don't crumble or fall apart nearly as fast when you're scrubbing a rough surface. They feel much sturdier in your hand, which gives you better leverage for getting rid of stubborn stains. Overall, for a little over $8 for an eight pack these are excellent value and I am really happy with this variety pack. Having the extra durable ones for heavy-duty scrubbing and the grease ones for the kitchen covers basically every mess in the house. If you want a scrubber that holds up and gets the job done without a bunch of extra chemicals, these are a fantastic choice.

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers are honestly awesome, BUT I believe the grease-specific version to be a gimmick and not a viable solution plain ol' soap & water. This review is holding the grease-busting version included in this pack to the same high standard we've come to expect from the original erasers. Spoiler: these don't make the cut. CONS of the grease version: -The two dots of Dawn soap imbedded in the grease versions feels more for show than anything else. Yes, the dots create suds, but that's about it. -The erasers are smaller, about one half the size of the regular ones in the pack. -They don't last very long, and I used almost a full one on just the mildly greasy wall behind my stove. I have no backsplash here, just a painted wall, so I honestly do keep it fairly clean. -The grease-busting was insignificant, it honestly don't make much of a difference. The regular erasers live up to expectations, are easy to use, and are versatile for cleaning anything and everything. ⭐⭐⭐ 3 Stars – Fair: Neutral experience. The product worked but has flaws or moderate inconveniences. Average quality or value.

When it comes to stains removal, nothing else compares to how quickly they lift marks, and the versatility of using them on everything from walls to shower tiles is impressive. The size of the individual pads is just right for most handheld tasks, making for great ease of cleaning throughout the house. Plus, the value for money is hard to beat given how much time and energy they save me during my weekly chores. If you are looking for an all-purpose cleaner that takes the elbow grease out of your routine, this set is a must-have.

Mr. Clean is the original creator of the melamine sponge, and these are the newest version of them. You get 5 of the thick sponges and three of slightly thinner one that have dawn soap embedded in them. So with a bit of water, you also get foam that cuts through grease, which is very convenient. The thicker ones you want to use where added thickness and durability is needed, and they take longer to wear through than most typical melamine sponges. Good value for 8 sponges, and while some may have them for less, the quality and durability of these original ones I found to be better than most. Recommended.
