ATTENTION BACKPACKERS: This is the one!
As an owner of several hammocks, including the Sea to Summit Pro Hammock, I found the Hummingbird's Ultralight Double hammock to be the best in the areas of:1) Lightweight (lighter than Sea to Summit's hammock)2) Ease of setup and adaptability to different "tree configurations"The button-based hardware is, in my opinion, what sets this product apart. While Sea to Summit will claim to be the "world's lightest hammock", which is true for the hammock ITSELF ONLY. Once you add the suspension hardware, Sea to Summit's hammock is actually heavier and not as adaptable as that of Hummingbird's.Please note that Amazon carries other camping hammocks that will be more comfortable than this Hummingbird hammock as they will be wider and longer; however, a backpacker is always willing to compromise some comfort to shave off weight. I have used this hammock on five trips thus far and slept overnight restfully each time. I have a 10 degree bag which is suitable for the 40 degree lows here in the California Sierras during late spring and summer (the hammock is completely uninstalled).

Reliable and Light as a feather
I was skeptical at first and was a bit skittish after reading the review and comments from Justin G. and Laurent. Sure enough, my first hang and I split the bottom right out of it. I shot an email off to Hummingbird and got an immediate response. My replacement hammock arrived just 2 days later. Still skeptical, I brought along a sturdy spare to the woods and I paid very careful attention to my hangs and used a fixed ridgeline. The most comfortable 4 nights in the Sierra Mountains I've ever experienced. I want to say I'm an experienced hammock guy, but after trudging through the big tree's of northern California, I'd forgotten a few things. I believe the problem I experienced (and judging from Justin G.'s photo his also) is simply a matter of a bad hang angle. My first one that I split was very difficult and stretched the thing out to make it work. I probably had less than a 15 degree hang. Just now, I used the hammock hang calculator at theultimatehang.com and by guessing the distances I used as best I could, it came up to well over 500 lbs of lateral force on the cords, which I'm sure is transferred to hammock under my butt. I believe I literally pulled the hammock apart from both ends. I would like to thank Julia at Hummingbird for the incredible response. You've earned an advocate for Life. (I just ordered the Heron tarp also) - Jeff Mays, VP, JRN Civil EngineersPS. I'm 6'1" and 260 lbs

Lightweight, Strong, and Comfortable
Great hammock for the weight. Tried to use as a backpacking hammock, even installed a structural ridgeline, but in the end the calf ridge was just too much to sleep with. Great to bring along on day hikes to lounge around in or to take a nap in the yard. Ended up ordering a bigger hammock to backpack with. This could work for some shorter people, but it is very roomy for a lounging hammock. I just think its length is the downside to it being a camping hammock, which was my intention with it.

Amazing product, OUTSTANDING Company, EXEMPLARY Customer Service!
When my hammock arrived I was a little sad because the carabiners seemed to be falling apart a little and even though they worked I was worried about the longevity.I emailed Hummingbird Hammocks and they replied within the hour with the most impressive email I've ever received from a company. The person who talked to me said they stand behind their product and take great pride in what they make and that I must've gotten a defective part which can happen though very rare. They sent me out a new hammock with a new carabiner which arrived in 2 days and told me to keep the old hammock as a sign of their apology. On top of that they gave me an extra pair of carabiners. Not to mention they gave me the newer technology carabiners which are much easier to use. They also sent me a Sticker haha :D PROS:- The hammock is easier to set up with the adjustable Tree Straps (I highly suggest getting these they are awesome) than my friends ENO's.- It weighs a fraction of other hammocks of the same size.- Is so small when packed it fits in my back pocket.- It's beautiful, since the material is so light, the sun light shed through it giving it some really cool effects agains the vibrant colors of the hammock.- My girlfriend and I (310lbs combined) have napped on the SIngle+ hammock very comfortably for hours at a time, so it's pretty roomy. But were used to being really close to each other so others might prefer a little more room and may want to go for a Double for a little more comfort.CONS:- Because the material is so light, you are trading a bit of insulation for the light weight. This is not a concern to me at all but might be for some. I use a blanket and I took this thing camping and slept outside all night with a blanket on top of a mountain.- Seriously, I can't think of any other cons for this Hammock, just get it already, you won't regret it!I would not recommend another hammock in this category to anyone. You can stop your search here.

Best Light-Weight Hammock on the market!
I think these are the best lightweight hammocks on the market! I have a single already and I purchased this one as a gift. I take my hammock everywhere - it is so light, I can carry it while bowhunting which allows for that ever-so-important mid-day nap in the woods. Great product and a must for backpackers and outdoors enthusiasts.

Super light yet super strong!
When you pull this hammock out of the bag and string it up your thinking, "this will never hold me, it so light!" Then you get in it and it's strong and comfy! What I like is that its very light weight and strong. Sets up in minutes and you are sleeping! I'm a big guy, 6'4" 240 and this hammock hold me with no problem! Bought same set up for my two sons, 6'5" 230, and 6'0" 250.

Super light - comfortable - reliable
I have been a convert from tent to hammock camping for several years and last year I read about and purchased a Hummingbird setup with hammock, bug net, straps, and tarp. I was skeptical at first about the button link system, however there have been no issues with it and I am very impressed with the weight of this suspension option. The hammock and other gear held up extremely well on a recent multi-day backpacking trip and it is my go-to over the several other hammock options I have used.
