GRAYS G 600 Pro Hockey Shinguards - Black/Silver - Large

Really fantastic product and great for a return to hockey after many years!

Fits comfortably and didn't move once in place.The ankle protection seemed to cover the bone better than my previous slazenger shin guards, but did not come up quite as high toward the knee. However I do have long legs.They did not rub the ankle, but I do wear a shin skin sock under my guards.I am 6ft tall and I purchased the medium size shin guard after taking care to measure my calf at its widest point and compare to the size guides I found online.Despite defending a few too many short corners at the weekend, I haven't had a chance to see how well they cushion a ball strike, but they feel sturdy and well padded, so I am expecting the same robust protection as my previous guards.

I went for medium as I'm a normal sized bloke.Pads work well deflecting sticks and balls, but to cut into my shins a little, and start to get uncomfortable in the second half.At least there's no chance of them falling off.

It is important to note that these shin guards come in various sizes which relate to your height, but the website does not give information other than s, m, l etc. Amazon it would be helpful if you did as it would prevent problems later.The shin guard packet therefore says:XL Height 200cm - 220cmL Height 180cm - 200cmM Height 160cm - 180cmS Height 140cm - 160cmXS Height 120cm - 140cmXXS Height 100cm - 120cm

Would have been helpful to have sizing guide available, however after reading reviews on several products I ordered medium for my 5ft7in, 14 year old son and they fit him fine. He us very pleased with them

Came with flashy green foam instead of grey.

Quite tall pads. My 11 year old will have to wait a year before he can use them.

Love these shinguards! They're sturdy and strong and def protect the shins. Been using these for well over a year and they're holding up well. I was worried they'd smell bad after prolonged use but that hasn't been the case, yet.

I use these for HEMA (historical fencing). They are suitable for all the weapons we use including longsword. They are very light and comfortable. I have worn these all day and not even noticed them. They have taken some good shots with no damage to them or me.

Not good for kids with big legs.
