Our dog Rudy laughs at "durable" dog toys. A sinister, intimidating belly laugh that only a 12 pound terrier mix can laugh. This toy delights him with its squeaks, igniting his primitive prey drive instincts, yet its durability defies his tiny razor-sharp teeth. Rudy has destroyed literally every other toy we've given him in the 6 months he has been with our family. I think the count of obliterated playthings is in the 30s. Finally, we discovered this weird squeaky dumbbell, and we have something that lasts. We bought a second toy, but Rudy hoards both of them from the other 2 dogs. Beware, the squeaker on this thing is ear-ringingly loud if chomped upon in close proximity to one's head. And they will chomp, and chomp, and chomp...Update after another 2 years: Rudy still hoards and destroys almost every other toy he's given. One of these orange dumbbell things finally started to split down the middle after a 2 year service life. We have bought a couple more. The other new toys he got for Christmas, he began to rip pieces off within minutes. What can I say, his teeth are prodigiously sharp.

I was worried because this toy is not as long as some of the others and I was afraid that meant that it wouldn't be durable, but my dog loves this toy and doesn't chew on it probably because it is super durable feeling. It still has no wear and tear even though I purchased it 4 months ago. He definitely does play with it and likes to squeak it.

My dogs will chew and chew - for hours. Every squeaky toy I have purchased for them has been destroyed the day they are purchased unless I take it away. The exterior eventually gives way making it useless. These toys are 2 weeks in and going strong. However, eventually the squeaking mechanism was crushed and fell out of the toy. Fortunately, you can order bags of replacement squeakers on Amazon. I bought a bag of 50 for $7 and the toys are good as new! So yes - I recommend!

No soft squeaking toys for my little guy! With stuffing or without, they bite the dust within the day he receives it. Tennis balls with squeaks in them "die" within a couple days. My rat terrier, Buddy, loves to destroy any squeaker toy. He has not been able to accomplish it with this one! It is very durable! It does not squeak with every chomp. If he bites in the right spot with the right amount of intensity it will squeak. That is just enough for him to remain determined and continue try to "kill" it. He likes to chase it and bring it back for me to toss again. Sometimes he just lays down with his paw across one end and chews on the other. I don't even see any teeth marks on it yet and he has had free play with it since Christmas. Next to chasing balls this is his favorite toy. Easy to clean.

I Love that the dumbbell squeaky toy lasted two days but my pup managed to break it open, he actually loved it but as like the other toys he has broken them in one day, I will say if your pup is anything other then a pity it would be a really great chew toy: Rebuy; I again bought this toy and my 1 yr old Staffie had the end chewed off by the end of the following day, I never found the end piece I just hope he upchucks it.

We have purchased this 18 times for our Boston Terrier who takes this everywhere she goes. She loves this bone, and although she kills the squeaker in less than a week, chews it apart at the one end, the rest holds up for her, and we just keep getting new ones. She's neurotically happy with it. 5 Star Overall, even though it's not a perfect toy, my dog thinks it is.

Super sturdy and well made. The squeaker isn’t as loud as it was when we first got it (most likely because of heavy use by our pupper) but that’s not necessarily a bad thing 😁Our dog has not chewed through it which is a huge plus after over a month of daily use5 stars

I bought this as a Christmas gift for a friend’s dog, but when I saw the sticker stating “Made In China”, I threw it away. What a shame, looked like a good toy but I cannot be responsible for harm coming to an animal for playing/chewing a toy from China that could be harmful.
