This heat is innovative and easy to use. I like the clean looks of it. However my first one arrived defective. The scale did not work. I returned it for a refund. When I called customer service they were not friendly nor helpful. I did order a new one and I’m still using it today only because it is the only hitch with a scale. Now that I have become familiar with my trailer and loading it I will probably consider a different brand next time. The GenY hitch with torsion dampers has been getting great reviews. If you do want a Weigh-Safe they usually have 10% off discounts on holidays. I know this because while I was waiting for my hitch to be shipped a coupon code came to me I called them but they would not honor it and that is another reason I don’t recommend them as far as their customer service and care are concerned. The CeraKote finish option also is easily scratched and will reveal the aluminum underneath in case you are considering it. All in all I would give the product 4 stars and the company 2. So combined it gets 3 IMO. I hope you have a better experience with them.

Giving it a 1 star review due to the the poor customer service from LEAP innovations. This was the 2nd unit I bought because the product is actually really good.Here are the problemsThe keys are worthless, all of the keys are the same anyone with a pair of keys can unlock any other product. This is how I believe mine was stolen from my car as I tested my old keys with the new unit and they worked. So don't trust the keys, keep the unit safe and off your vehicle while you're not using it.Next was the poor customer service.I ordered the wrong size for my car and contacted the seller "LEAP INNOVATIONS" The store was conveniently in the town next door so I thought I could just take the product back and exchange it for one that would fit. I texted them and they said this was fine.So I go over and everything is going well until the lady starts talking with the other girl in the back about who she's dating and their friends and whatever else random dumb stuff girls talk about while I'm waiting for them to get the product I need so I can GTFO and get back to doing whatever. 0 respect for anyone's time, but their own.She finally comes back and says the item is damaged so they can't refund me the difference of $20-$30 I say "what damage? I just got a this yesterday" and demand they show me the damage, or I can just take the item back and ship it back through Amazon and they'll lose in shipping costsThey finally show me the $30 worth of damage. It's a small scratch that could be caused by the keys moving around in the box or anything else just rubbing against it. It does nothing to make the product work any different and can easily be removed with some sand paper in 2 seconds.They argue with me for a few minutes about the exchange and their policy blah blah. I tried to save them in shipping costs, and even drove over to the location. The least they could do is be fair and exchange the product and give back the difference.These girls seem like spoiled 18 year Olds that just want to do the least possible work. Unfortunately the boss wasn't around to see this behavior or maybe things would have been different. If the boss reads this feel free to contact me.I finally got a full refund through Amazon and will be buying the unit from a different seller.This is one of the worst in person customer service experienced I've had in a very long time and highly discourage people from buying from this seller specially if these girls are running the shipping process and returns.Avoid Leap Innovations. Buy from another seller and make sure yo check your receiver size before ordering.

I bumper pulled a 12000lb trailer from California, to Alabama, back to California, and finally back to Alabama with this hitch during my recent military retirement move. I had to upgrade my 2018 F350 2.5" receiver to a Curt heavy duty model that supported the increased tongue weight (This hitch has a 2200lb limit, the stock receiver has a 1500lb maximum, and the new Curt has a 2700lb limit). I'd like to see the hitch limit increased to 2700lb to match the heavier receivers. For this reason, I'm considering upgrading to a Bulletproof hitch. I can affirm that I did battle test this hitch, and it lives up to its marketing. The Weigh Safe feature was great for my mission, as I was pulling a 14000GVWR enclosed cargo trailer and used the scale to keep my load honest. This truly is a 5-star product.
