A great game
A game that I just had to re-buy after I had it a while back for one of my consoles, it provides a large amount of entertainment to anyone that wants to play a good game. The things that are important to consider is the date that the game was first released and the advances that have been seen in gaming, this can lead to points in the game where you get bored of the image and sound quality as well as points where the controls are hard to use because the camera angles get to you. Still this being said it is still a great game and once you get used to the difference in quality it is a very good game and allowed me to revisit one of my favourite games from the time I was growing up. In conclusion it doesn’t matter if you are buying it for the first time or are buying it to replay it after you get used to it you will be able to enjoy a good game.

Watch out for the system requirements!
Be careful - this game requires a graphics card with hardware transform and lighting support (T&L) - e.g. a Geforce 2 or better. Most serious games PCs will have this, but the average family computer may not. The system requirements printed on the box are actually too small for me to read. Result? I installed the game, then found out it wouldn't work too late to send it back. The one star I've given the game is not a reflection on how good it is - but since I haven't played it, I can't tell. I had to give it something before my review would be accepted.

60% Woohoo! 40% D'oh!
A really fun game, but sometimes spoilt - as is too often the case - by a poor driving component. It suffers from all the usual racing game flaws: the laws of physics affecting your car are different to those affecting everyone else’s. While you are bounced around like a rubber ball, and can’t break even lightly without bringing your game to a juddering halt, everyone else glides along, performing sharp turns and breaks with ease. It also ignores the fact that anything that makes you stop dead, spin around or points you in completely the wrong direction more than 3 or 4 times per mission ceases to be ‘amusing’ and becomes a pain in the backside instead - like getting busted by the cops in the middle of yet another timed mission for knocking down too many pedestrians - it's funny at first, but after a while it starts to get a bit tedious when all you want to do is complete the mission to get on with the fun stuff. Also, when you load a save it takes you back to the last plot point rather than where you actually saved - this gets a bit tedious after a while too. Having said that it has all the Simpson’s strong points which are it’s surreal, zany, fun sense of humour and silly catchphrases. The ability to kick anyone you come across is always a good way to let out your stress after yet another time trial! Being able to wander around Springfield and do your own thing between missions is great too, and like it's obvious inspiration Vice City, it is stunning to look at. For sheer fun it gets 5 out of 5, but for the usual irritating driving physics and the slightly tedious and repetetive missions it only gets 2!

Repetitive, Boring, and Doggy car movements
The title of this review sums up this game. You play as all the characters in the Simpson family running errands for different characters in Springfield, including Apu, Wiggum and others. To start with the game can seem quite fun as the graphics are quite good for a 'cartoon' game, but don't lets this fool you into thinking this is a good game - because I tell you - it is NOT! After you have played the game for the first character you have played nearly every single different type of mission in the entire game - after that you find your self repeating exactly what you have done before with a different aim attached. For example in one mission you must go around picking up monkeys but a few mission later you have to go around picking up fish - both timed (very strictly at that!) and both in practically the same location. The timed missions are the most annoying and the fact that sometimes if you fail a mission you don't go back to the start of that mission but you go back 2 missions, which is very annoying when you are finding something difficult to do late in the game. Another downside is you can't save at all when you want to, the game seems to all you to save once every now and then, which is really quite silly - especially if you want to quit and find you can't for another 3 missions! Many people may agree with me here, but the AI cars in the game seem totally intent on hitting you and the cars are almost impossible to drive without crashing - especially in racing missions. To make matters worse it seems the AI are perfect drivers and can shoot through traffic, while when you try the same thing you skid of the road and into the sea or something!. The most annoying thing I found when playing this game was that, unlike in most games, the "camera" does not turn around with you - I am used to when I turn the character round, I see what the character sees! But in this game you see the character unless you manually turn the camera round - which you can imagine is particularly annoying in timed missions! Except for the quite good graphics and the length of the game play - I would only recommend this to major "The Simpsons" fans and who have a good temper - as this game will get on your nerves quite frequently!! To sum up: Repetitive, Boring, Rubbishy Story Line, Same Dialogue being repeated again and again by characters, can't save when you want to, poor driving physics and more....

Customer service was excellent!
Ordered the game. Came well before expected unfortunately it didn't work on my PC but worked on a friends. So I had to send it back and the customer service was excellent. Just a shame it didn't work as I wanted to wind back the years and re live some childhood experiences.

This is a classic game that i loved to play as a kid and i still love playing the game today. Unfortunately this PC version is extremely buggy, e.g. ridiculously long loading times, chunks of the environment would disappear, game would crash constantly. To make the game even playable i have to run it using a fan-made program called Donut Launcher.
