Very good camping & emergency light, at a reasonable price
I have several camping lights and a lot of flashlights, it's kind of a hobby, so I buy them on a regular basis just to see what works, and what doesn't, and this is my review on this lights:Camping light (Main COB light)This light is very bright, ideal to have in your tent or outside you camping. It also works great as an emergency light, as the COB (Chip on Board) led light distribution is much better than the regular independent leds. It is bright enough to light a bedroom.Flashlight (top light)This camping light has a "flashlight" on the top, which can be useful if you want to travel light and only pack this light for your camping trip, or as an emergency light, where you want to move around without using up to much battery. The light is not strong, but enough to move around the house or the camping area.Emergency light (red top lights)This camping light turns into an emergency light with this two led red lights on top. They can be set to slow blinking or strobe like fast blinking. The slow setting would be good if your car breaks down at night, and you need to be seen by oncoming traffic.Batter & ChargingThe light has a fixed rechargeable battery, and can also be used with AA batteries. Depending on what the intended use, I would advice to have the AA batteries (3) so that you can have some useful time out of it. The rechargeable light is more of an emergency battery, than the camping option. It is convenient to have both options. Charging of the included battery is done by micro-usb standard cable.

Very nice lantern
So far, I am very happy with this lantern. I don't go camping, so I can't speak to that use. I use it around my home and neighborhood. If I am walking outside after dark, I use it to light my way and to avoid being an invisible pedestrian crossing a street. (The summer days are long, but the short days of winter will be back.) Sometimes, I just need to see something in the yard at night, or need more light for some task in my home. It would likely come handy in a blackout. It's very bright, and throws a good circle of light. When I bought it, I had reservations about needing to pull and push the top to turn it on and off, but it moves easily, so it's not a problem. My only criticism is, sometimes it's difficult to see the flashlight button. It has a contrasting circle around it, but it's still impossible to see in the dark. You can't use the lantern to find the flashlight button because it's rather too bright for looking at directly, and its lights go the wrong direction. It would be nice if it glowed a bit or some such. The AA batteries power option is a nice feature, but having it rechargeable is far better. No scrounging for batteries all the time. I just charge it up once a week to be sure it's always ready to go.

Nicely built, very bright
We have had several power outages in my neighborhood and I bought a couple of these for the house. I love the simple operation of the flashlight and lantern and the fact that I can use my basic android plug to charge them. I suppose the flashing red light would be great if I kept it in the car for flagging down someone in an emergency, but I don't need that for my purpose. The charging receiver doesn't seem solid and could come loose over the long haul, but that's my opinion because it is fine now. The lantern is super bright and the magnets on the bottom are a nice convenience when I am working on my stereo component tower in the utility room and the lighting doesn't cover the corner, so I can stick it to the metal stack and see what I need.

Performs well
I work late hours, and got a "wakeup call" one night when I was about to take a shower, and the power went out. With no power, it is pitch black in our large master bath. If I had been in the shower, finishing the process and finding my way out would have been a hazardous experience. I did a lot of research to select a seemingly durable but inexpensive backup lantern, and concluded that this one was better than the others. It's very lightweight, and the light is very bright. If it did not have a dimming feature (by collapsing the light tower to provide the needed brightness), it would probably be too bright for our bathroom. Now when I take a shower at night, I leave the lantern lit on the sink counter just in case. It's a trusty little gadget. Be sure to charge it overnight before your first use, even though it might turn on right out of the box. The 3 magnets on the base are screwed in, and the case is some sort of polymer, so one of the threaded holes broke out in shipping. I wasn't a big deal to glue the magnet back in place, and it was easier than an exchange. Bought two, and both work great.

Cheap dollar store product
Not worth the money. Go to the Dollar tree and get the same laterns for 1/3 the cost. I bought thesedue to a severe hurricane forecast I should have returned them but now it's too late

Back to buy my second set!
Very pleased. Long lasting, rechargeable, durable, bright, handy, and more.It would be nice if the red light had the option of being solid instead of only flashing modes. I did also have one handle brake off the top of one of them. However it doesn’t effect the overall functionality of the lantern. Also learn from my mistake, don’t clean with rubbing alcohol. It left a mark where I was cleaning it.I use one or both of them on a daily basis. They do take a while to fully charge, but you don’t need a full battery for hours of bright light. I also like how you can partially open the lantern and control the amount of light.I’m buying my second set now.
