Shade: Planting Solutions for Shady Gardens

I bought this used copy for economical reasons and the idea of not wasting. It is somewhat worn, something I truly love, but unmarred in any way. The content and copious number of magnificent, inspiring photos are superb. This volume alone will guarantee that I make it through the winter alive - and ready to get to work in the garden again in the beautiful springtime!

This book has tons of amazing photographs, but doesn't follow through in my book. I wanted more information, and ideas that were not just illustrated. I have tons of shade in my garden, but I don't think the average gardener could just look at these pictures, and know how to replicate them in their gardens. Great for the coffee table.

When you have trees there is so much you can do to create mid level environments for wild life. I personally try to use as many native species as possible because our creatures have evolved to live with them. Great book!!!

It's an ok book, has lots of nice pictures but I don't like it as well as the BHG book on Shade gardening

The book covers so much regarding shade gardens. I'm very pleased and will be delving into it a lot more once the snow disappears and I can get out and dig!

Arrived in as new condition and ahead of time. An excellent book for ideas for shady gardens. Wonderful photographs and descriptions.

This book appears to focus on large estate size areas, rather than typical home lots. I have only skimmed the book and it's presentation is to look at shade in nature/woodlands. The photos are nice, but no quick ideas.

I'm really happy with the book, it's exactly as described, in excellent condition and I love it.We have a north facing garden at the rear of our newly bought house and I haven't dealt with so much shade before.Not to be defeated, I have invested in some shade gardening books for inspiration.Happy customer.
