Chromex 10 Ton 3 Jaw Hydraulic Gear Puller, Wheel Bearing Hub Removal Tool with Work Gloves and Storage Box

Used to pull rotors from a neglected 2001 Accord (one where most threaded things broke or were drilled out.) It pulled them off quickly, though it was a little bit violent with so much pressure. So as functional as promised.Irksome in 3 ways: 1) the case is for storage only. You will have to completely disassemble the unit to put it back into the case, which I will not do unless I sell it. 2) documentation It's not rocket surgery but a single photo copied sheet of pidgin English operating (not assembly) text is unacceptable. I quote: "Hydraulic pressure draw horse fill with post in pump as power source to drive horse s cylinder rod to move ahead." 3) The arms are significantly thinner than the ears of the collar they link to. This means the links are angled and prevent securing the bolts. Thus the arms/links are very floppy and frustrating to position. I have a wealth of washers and I shimmed out the links so they were parallel. This allowed me to tighten the bolts and the arms would maintain the positions I set them in.In the end, the quality is good but the devil is in the details. The vendor would do well to hire an English speaker to do their documentation and replace the case with a handful of washers.

Bought this to remove wheel hub assemblies after my ratchet crank puller finally bit the dust. Was missing some bolts and washers. It works very well, however it is a TANK! It is very heavy and will more than likely require an extra set of hands for any sideways application. Overall, I am pretty impressed with it. I have used it about 10 times already. You will be amazed at all the different applications you can use this thing for!

Used on a job I hate today. 04 lexus rx330 front wheel bearing. It made the so much easier I can't believe I didn't find this until I retired would have made being a diesel mechanic much easier. Thanks for such a great product.

I was replacing the rear wheel bearings on our BMW. The axle wouldn't budge out of the hub. I had tried everything from PB Blaster and a torch, a 10 lb. sledge with a punch, a 5-ton hydraulic puller from HF, and had nearly given up. I probably wasted 5 or 6 hours trying to get it out.I had the axle free in 1 minute with this 10-ton gear puller. Shipping was fast. I am a happy chappy.

Purchased this to get a CV shaft out of a hub. More than impressed with the product. Easy to use, and well made. Would recommend this for any mechanic to have in his/hers bag of tricks!

Used this to remove a stuck axle, worked like a charm. Very straight forward and easy to use if you have used standard pullers before. Made short work on what I needed to do. A bit on the heavy side, but it is made for 10 tons of pressure after all.

Looks to be very well made. This a heavy duty tool so might be a little awkward to use for one person to set up and use in some circumstances. Pressed my rusted splined axel out of the wheel hub which is what I needed.
