Good, strong, quality filter.
This filter is well built and works very well. It does not leak and the plastic is durable. I use it for gasoline. The first one I bought (identical to this one), did not have a rubber gasket where the plastic bowl screws into the base. I returned it and reordered. The new one had the gasket and works fine.

Little pricey but it does a great job. I’ve not seen any water. Love the see through glass. Good product

Great filter body no leaks
Great product. Nice quality. Easy to install and see thru. Read many reviews about it leaking. I’m guessing they don’t know petcock valves are “backwards thread”. tightening valve opens it. Loosen closes it. No complains.

easy to install
This has taken all the water out of the fuel I buy to run my airplane on ethanol free auto gas, works great with my Gasboy fuel system and 200 gallon tank and installed easy after the fuel filter, love that it is clear and you can see if there is any water to drain out. Jeff

A cheap way for peace of mind
I bought both the 496 and 495 filters to filter off road diesel for my new tractor. I hope to never "need" them, but if either of them ever capture something that could damage my tractor, they have immediately paid for themselves more than once. They were easy to install and are well worth the peace of mind for the small price paid. A few people told me I didn't need both, but the 496 water filter filters out water and particles down to 17 micron. The 495 filter captures down to 10 microns. By having both, I capture both water and the smallest particle sizes without having to trade one for the other, and, it should help the 495 filter last longer since larger particles should already be caught upstream.
