Adjustable Tarp and Tent Poles

Bought a pair of these to use with a rain fly in case of inclement weather when camping with Cub Scouts. The fly came with two poles of its own but they were a little on the small side and I wanted something heftier. We needed the fly to cover a few picnic tables for use during the day by Scouts and parents if it was raining, so I needed the fly to have a center height to accommodate tall adults. These poles fit the bill perfectly. They are very sturdy, with a good solid length of overlap in the pole sections, which fit together very snugly and hold like one solid piece. The rubber foot on the base is big enough to stop the end from digging into the ground and keeps the end in place. We had a good 8 hours straight of steady rain and the tarp stayed put despite a considerable volume of water pouring off its surface. The poles that came with the fly were bowing a bit, but these were rock solid. I also like the bright color for better visibility and injury avoidance. I am getting 2 more (despite the fact that they are more expensive now) because they will more than earn their keep. Very pleased with the purchase!

These are seriously robust tarp poles. If you need something that you can fight bears and wolves off with before you set up camp, this is your pole. I'm not complaining-- too often nowadays you wind up with products that are flimsy or shoddy. These babies are tough. I was personally hoping for something a little lighter weight that could be used backpacking, but if the weight of the poles isn't a concern these things are sweet.

These poles are exactly what I needed for car camping. They are sturdy and adjustable (you can use 2, 3 or all 4 poles), making them quite versatile and enabling a varity of tarp configurations. The push-button connections are snug and do not wobble, resulting in a good solid support pole. I use them with my Odoland tarp to create a freestanding shelter, or a sun/rain shield on the side or rear of my minivan by attaching one side to the van and using the poles to support the other. You could also do an A-frame or lean to setup. Might order a second set (of two poles) for a total of 4, so I can do a freestanding full square shelter in areas without suitable tree support. Love them!

Bought these for "just in case it rains" purpose and of course it didn't rain. I think they will work for my rain cover tarps just perfectly. Love the height for water run off. Red stands out as well for camping. Went with quality over price this time and came out just as expected.

Sturdy, very strong. Exceeded my expectation. Don’t be fooled by aluminum and think they are backpackable, I canoe camp and can afford the extra size and weight . 8 ft used on the ends of 16 foot Kelty noah tarp and I have room for friends gear and dogs! Also they are not shock corded which I knew And doesn’t bother me, I knew this before purchase. But it is easy to overlook since you are used to seeing shock corded poles. Button lock and fit are great . I am very happy with them.

good poles for tarps. There are no shock cords that need to be retreaded or replaced.

Didn't work for my purpose of a light pole. These are bulky and heavy. Almost unusable save for maybe car camping or beach. I needed a pole set for the backcountry that was light and easy to use. These did not fit that function and I have not used them since initial setup and trial. Kept them for home use only.

Worked great, will be buying more.Just ending second camping season with these and ordered a second set. They are rock solid in a storm, no flex or give. joints stay strong from good overlap. Reflective finish makes them easily seen at night with slightest bit of campfire light.
