Excellent informative little book

The book is an easy read. Gives history of the breed, which is necessary to the understanding of the dog and it's character..Gives a good balanced of information from puppy to adult.Good illustrations and photos.

Lots of interesting points to this book. A colour picture every other page so the actual content is reduced by half. Lots of tips and advice, not sure if any of it works however as not got as far to getting a Rottie :o( still an interesting read though :)

We bought this because she will be our secind Rottie, with a seven year difference. It is an amazing little book with an extensive array of knowledge and information. If s/he is going to be your first or even second black and tan addition to the family then I woud buy this. 100% worth it even if it's a remind and revise.You'll be daft not to.

Good book but I have the feeling not much text is specific to this breed. Apart from the fact they need to be properly socialised, which everyone knows. Good intro but for in depth detailed information I guess I'd look elsewhere.

This book is packed full of sensible and easily accessible advice about all aspects of rottweiler ownership; the history of the breed, breed standard, considerations prior to buying a rottweiler puppy, sourcing a puppy, the rottweiler friendly home, house training, diet, care, understanding your rottweiler, socialisation and training guidelines, control, the ideal owner, health care and inherited health problems. The book is full of useful contact details, beautiful photos and so well written. The author is clearly very experienced with the breed and extremely competent in teaching training techniques, making use of all the latest knowledge about how dogs learn and promoting positive training methods. This book should accompany every rottweiler puppy moving to his/her new home and it is relevant and helpful to new as well as experienced dog owners. Well done Julie Johnson!!
