The mod 3 has a larger range for fitment that this Mod5 and i have a decent sized head. The Mod 3 was slightly large for my head and went higher up in size back then. But it also had mips to tighten things down. This Mod5 fits perfect. Absolutely perfect so if you own a mod3 size large from a few years ago and it fit “perfect” without tightening the mips down then may i suggest going to XL for the Mod5. The only thing i find sort of awkward is fitting my Aleck audio system into the ears. But the ear muffs are more comfortable on this helmet that my mod3 was. The vents seem like high quality and appear like they will work well. The value is great for the money especially on sale. Normal weight, not too heavy, not super light. It’s a different looking helmet but in my opinion better looking that the eggshell looking mod3 i had.
