candy bar backpack
I really love the size of this bag. I'm 5'3" and had trouble finding a bag that didn't hang too low on my butt or stick out too far in the back or that was too heavy. Also the width is more narrow than most bags. It has a separate zipper compartment for a laptop. I have an ASUS vivobook 11.5 that I put in it and has room to spare. The outside front pocket for the phone is a little tight for a galaxy note 2 (in a case) so I end up putting it in the pocket behind the pencil holders. Also I can't stand to touch (or listen to)nylon. The bag I ordered is a canvas. I think only the tusk/dark brown is canvas. I was very apprehensive about the price but honestly I just got tired of looking at bags only to read the description and something not match up to my requirements. There isn't really inside pockets so I ordered a grid it to put inside the main compartment. The bag really holds a lot for its size. I've only had it for a couple of weeks and there has been a few days I had it packed very heavy with no problem. The quality of this bags seems to be really good and it should hold up very well.

Love this product
Love this product, but my only negative is that after only 1 use on a trip to Puerto Rico, where I only carried my Macbook Pro and a few Notes for my wedding planning, the stitching began to unravel on the upper corner of the exterior pocket. Functionally, it doesn't change the backpack - but I was very disappointed.

Cute but uncushioned.
It's just as adorable as the pictures, but what I wasn't expecting was just how thin it is. It lacks all of the padding and cushioning that any normal laptop bag has. A wonderfully shocking amount of pockets and storage places, and it easily fits my standard size work laptop (much larger than an iPad) plus quite a bit more. Overall, if you love the pictures, you'll love the bag. Just don't drop it.

The perfect backpack for daily use!
This is my second Candybar backpack--which says something about how much I like these bags. They're lightweight, fit very comfortably on the back, and swing around easily so you can access the two side pockets--a small one designed for cell phones and a larger one for tablets or notebook computers. (Timbuk2 says this model fits a Macbook Air but I've carried my 15-inch Macbook Pro in the main pocket of my older one too.)Like all Timbuk2 bags, the Candybar is well-designed and the buckle on this latest version is a welcome improvement, although the dark lining makes it hard to see the internal pockets as the front pocket is a tighter fit than the earlier model. The Candybar is practical and sturdy, but is far more stylish than your standard backpack. My first Candybar does a lot of duty as a beach bag (I live on a Greek island and swim daily) as it fits a change of clothes, beach towel and assorted paraphernalia. This new Candybar is my standard "purse" and travel bag for going into the city as it also fits an extra top for a quick change of look plus all the devices and other stuff I need for work appointments. The internal water bottle holder is a nice addition; I use it to secure a slim thermos in which I carry coffee on the boat.Having used it for several months now, I have to admit that the front pocket on the older model are roomier and more functional. That said, maybe this pocket had to be made tighter because of the more secure clasp instead of the Velcro fastener; the outside zip pocket where i usually stash my cell phone is also tighter.Overall, this bag is highly recommended for most lifestyles. I've even used it as my "luggage" for a two-day trip abroad and it performed wonderfully.

Bought it for a gift for my ex, and she likes it
Durable bag, very unique color for something like this in Singapore. I like the size of the bag - not too big or small. The iPad slot was a welcoming factor for any tablet or phoblet out there. My ex uses it for gym purposes and it serves her well.Recommend it to anyone who likes backpacks which stand out, and students too!

I have a MacBook Air, Kindle Paperwhite and various other electronic items. I really love this bag. The back pouch is perfect for the Mac Air. It is the perfect commuter bag.
