Well they worked fine when plunged into hot coals. However, I wanted 16"+, these were no longer than my current Tillman gloves. Short like this facilitates burning skin just above glove on door frame. Otherwise fine. They offered a full refund which is pretty good so since they stand behind gloves and customer satisfaction I raised rating to 4 star from 3.

I have an Oklahoma Joe smoker with a charcoal basket inside the firebox. That whole firebox side, gets inferno hot and when adding another split or chunks of wood to it...it is nice to be able to put it in, exactly where you want it, without the fear of touching any part of the metal with your hands or forearm. For the price, I'm very happy with the gloves!

Exactly what I was looking for. I was tired of constantly burning my hands putting wood in the stove. These are perfect for that job. They are large but It fits well and I can pick up the wood with no problem.

Very nicely made. The stitching is well done and the weight of the leather is very good. I got these for use with a kettle BBQ and I think the quality is good, especially at this price. The fit is ok. I have large hands and these fit perfectly. The double stitching in the palm is in good shape and all the rest of the seams show no sign of wear.  The gloves hold up well to high grill temps even allowing me to move some of the coals around without discomfort.
