PrepacWall Mounted Desk Hutch, 48 x 10.5, White

As you can see, I’m using it more for a craft clutter cleanup than anything at this point, but it is well-made, I did put it together myself. I will say this…I would’ve given it five stars if it hadn’t been for the fact that they left out a very key part of the instructions, which are the vertical panels in the middle of the shelf unit. It doesn’t say that you have to have the holes facing up on the backside and if you don’t, what happened to me will happen to you you’ll have to take the entire thing apart and flip them over and then put the whole thing back together again which I can honestly say I did not enjoy one bit!Otherwise, it’s a really pretty looking shelf unit

I was looking for something that would hang above my desk, and give me a little more storage space. I found this, and although pricey, thought it would work out great. It shipped fast, and arrived sooner than expected. It was well packaged. Putting it together was so easy. After getting it together I noticed I was missing the mounting board. Not really a big deal for me. The screws that came with hanging this hutch were a lot longer than I expected. I guess I should have expected them to be longer since the product itself is heavy.If you're hanging this hutch above a glass desk, like myself, I would really recommend making sure you can drill into your studs. I read some reviews where others said they just drilled into the dry wall. This hutch is 40 lbs and although the wood boards to hang it are genius and would distribute the weight evenly, I wouldn't try dry wall alone to hold this hutch into the wall. Anyhoo - I decided before going through the trouble of getting the mounting board, to pre-drill into my studs to see how far I could get the screw into the wall, and I couldn't get it to go more than halfway into the wall. Even if I took into account the wood board, the screw simply would not go into the stud all the way. There would be an inch of screw hanging out.I'm certainly not an expert on anything building related, but I suspect I'm hitting concrete. My building is old and they did tell me that they used concrete for noise control. The wall I need to hang the hutch on is flush with the outside hallway wall. When I pulled the nail from the wall it was really hot to the touch. I tried two different spots on opposite sides of the wall and both sides gave me the same result. The nail was not going into the wall.I really do love the hutch and it looks really nice, however, I'm sending it back. It can't hang it where I want to hang it. This was $90 with shipping and I'm not really wanting to spend more money trying to find alternative ways to hang the hutch.I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a solid hutch, but I would recommend testing the area you're wanting to hang it. Don't buy it, put it together and then discover it's not going to work. I think it's easier to patch the wall than put it all together, break it down and ship it back - that's just me though :)I've already sent it back, but I would guess the nail is the size of my index finger; so about 3 to 3.5 inches long. Maybe a little longer.

Built well went together well, just make sure you have the panels and the correct order . Only took about a half hour tops.

I bought this hutch to install over my printer as a storage for printer supplies (paper, ink, etc.). It was easy to assemble, and looks really good after assembly. It provides 4 removable shelves, but practically only 2 of them can be used unless you are storing small items only. The configuration in the product picture is the most optimal.The part I did not like about the hutch is that the dimensions of the hutch are just a bit smaller than the size of the most common paper used in US - letter. This means that anything of that dimension cannot be used. I thought removing one of the vertical separators would be an answer, but then I ran into another issue - the mounting challenge. Uniquely, this hutch uses a separate mounting bar (made of composite material - I will come to this later) that is fixed to the wall and then the hutch is "hung" from the mounting bar. The part that hangs onto the mounting bar transfers the load via the vertical separators - which means that removing a vertical separator would make mounting the hutch risky and dangerous.Even without any modification, the hutch hangs off of the mounting bar through a 1/4 inch by 1/2 inch lip of composite wood fiber material. I am concerned that this is not going to be very sturdy unless I store light items only.Overall, I liked the product, but am a bit concerned about safety/reliability issues (no issues so far to confirm my concerns though).

This wall hutch was very easy to assemble and is quite sturdy. It works well placed over a white desk. The only complaint I have is one of the corners was a little bit crunched in shipping. I would say that was a function of the packaging, not necessarily the shipper. There’s minimal padding in the corners of the box so I don’t believe it has adequate protection. Otherwise, excellent product for the money.

I was missing a shelf piece and I was able to get the part sent to me in a 4 or 5 days by calling the number on the instruction paper. The customer service was quick and easy.The shelf is strong, and has some density on the top and bottom piece that I wasn't expecting. It feels pretty solid. WOOD buy again.

I was looking for something to mount on my wall over my computer desk and i'm very happy with my choice. It gives me more storage where i had a blank wall with nothing on it and looks very good.Review:Shipping: 5/5- Very fast. Took couple minutes that is it. Pretty much what you expect from any amazon purchase.Box: 5/5- Well packed, product didn't receive damage during transit.Quality: 4.5/5-For the price, this product is a really good quality. No scratches, good color, sturdy. I didn't give a 5 because its not like its prime wood. But for the price, this product quality is well over expectation.Assembling: 5/5-Possibly one of the easiest assembling i had to do. Only tools i needed was a screwdriver, a stud finder and a level. The instructions that came with it made it very easy to assemble. Make sure to screw the unit into the wall stud. If you screw just in the drywall, this will make anything you attach to it a dangerous hazard. Don't listen to these 1/5 and 2/5 reviews that tell you it fell from the wall. They did the mistake of not attaching it in the wall studs.Strength: 5/5-As you can see in the picture, i have a decent load on the unit right now and i didn't feel any fear of it falling what so ever. The 3 boxes on top are filled with books.I'm very satisfied with this product. It was easy to assemble, looks good, good quality and surprisingly sturdy. Over all that, it was only 90 CAD$ when i did my purchase. For the price, this product is a no brainer for me in the future. I would highly recommend this products to anyone that is looking for something like this. I only had it installed for a couple days so i cant talk about long term for this product but i'm pretty confident about it. If anything happens, I'll let you know.

Rangement parfait qui s'agence très bien avec le bureau que j'avais déjà. Je l'ai par contre installé dans les montants muraux, fixés à 3 d'entre eux, en plus de quelques fixations dans le gypse.Je n'aurais pas fait confiance à une installation seulement dans le gypse. Même avec rien dedans, le module est un peu lourd. Un mur de gypse ne serait pas du tout indiqué pour le soutenir.
