WORKED FLAWLESSLY FOR MY APPLICATION WITH K&N RU-3580 FILTER & AF DYNAMIC UNIVERSAL HEATSHIELD COVER

I bought this for my cold air intake that is on my Hyundai Tiburon. The intake is in the bumper. The cone is pretty big. I'd previously bought one of these that was too small. This one fit perfectly. I live in a place where it can rain quite a bit. When I put the intake on I wasn't thinking. For almost a year I feared rain storms. Lol. For good reason, as rain would often get into my intake. Causing my car to putter & stall out. I'd often have to sit with the engine off for awhile & eventually try to restart it. Snow had same effect if it was slushy on the ground. For awhile there, driving was not fun. Unfortunately, my original intake was all messed up. That's why I replaced it. I put this on & what do you know? I can drive like a normal car again. I have had absolutely no issues. No water has got into the system. I have driven in plenty of rain storms and snow. It works so well that I completely forget that I ever had an issue. I couldn't possibly be more happy about this. My only complaint is to myself. I wish I had bought one of these when I put the damn intake in. Lol. What oh what was I thinking?

Great fit and I love that the loops allow you to attach the sock to the O ring that keeps the filter on. That keeps it from falling off. Sturdy fabric. As far as waterproof, it seems hydrophobic, but I still won't be driving in any puddles.

Its that it fits on the filter however the cover doesn't fully go onto filter. I’ll have to zip-tie it later, but for now it fits most of the way on! Hope it prevents sand from getting past.😅

The filter cover fit perfectly as if K&N were the manufacturer of this bonnet for their own filter,....so filterwear is making an outstanding product that has tight tolerances and outstanding QC! This cover will save a lot of dirt and other foreign objects from contacting the filter itself, and it tones down the bright color of the K&N, unless you like that look in which they have other colors besides black, which is what I bought. Great product! Deserves 10 stars if that was an option!

These are awesome. You don't have to have a fender located air filter to benefit from this. It doesn't restrict airflow and it definitely helps double filter fine particles like sand and dirt. Great for the beach or dirt country back roads. The water repellant works very, very well. It's not water proof, this is not a magical sleeve that turns your intake into a snorkel but it's as close as you can get to one. There's videos on YouTube of people running water hoses over these things and they deflect the flow. That's pretty awesome. Highly recommend, especially for a car you care about.

I was going to add a photo but amazon wanted access to my photos .... uh no thanks.Now for the review: These do not fit the K&N filters they were made for, I’ve purchased filter wears for several other K&N filters with a perfect fit. They do not wrap under the filter on one side so the filter is open to dust etc. they stay on, but the fit is not correct.For almost $20 dollars each I expected a perfect fit. I was going to send back but I needed them for the dusty areas I ride in. I put a piece of black cloth tape over the open area, as long as it stays on for 2-3 rides it’ll work.

Drove it for 300 miles with the cover on, and it worked to my surprise. I was driving around with an exposed intake and kept getting ICV and MAF codes but once I installed this I haven't gotten those codes. It felt nice and snug, yellow looks good in there too! I was so anxious to drive it in the rain storm and I accidently even went through a fat puddle but the car was fine! Drove through snow and it was ok! 10/10 recommend. I would recommend for you guys running a long tube to get a water bypass valve intake (do some research).
