Spent a lot of time looking for just the right scale to use with my small business. I regularly ship around 20-40 packages six days a week. I've used a number of scales in the past and have found a few things to be pretty annoying about the majority of the scales I've gone through.Here's what this scale accomplishes brilliantly that were on my specific checklist. Keep in mind these are things that may seem minor but once you've weighed and shipped a few thousand packages you'll be surprised what ends up being important.It's fast: This scale weighs very quickly and reliably and resets to zero immediately after removing an item. I've used a number of scales that take their sweet time getting to a weight and that time can add up.It's easy to read: I don't have any problems with my vision but I absolutely love the back-light, size of the numbers and the angle of the screen. You'd be surprised how many scales position the screen in a way that's hard to see when weighing even a small package. The fact that the screen lights up is another major plus. Imagine weighing a Priority Mail box in a room lit only by the ceiling light. I've had many frustrating experiences with other scales where I'm trying to read weight without touching the box or blocking the light to the screen with my own shadow.Always on: Now I believe there is a setting to have the scale go in to a 'sleep mode' but thank God this scale doesn't do this by default. I can assure you it's ridiculously frustrating with some scales needing to turn them on again every time you take more then two minutes to get your next package ready to go. I'm thrilled to have a scale that stays on till I want it off. Saves me a ton of time every day.So that's it. This scale is great for my specific needs. Some of these things sound a big silly, saving 5 seconds here or a minute there. But trust me when you spend hours a day shipping that time really adds up!

great for small businesses not too big not too small, I needed a bigger scale for larger packages and this was perfect.

I got tired of standing in line at the USPS, so I decided to purchase a scale and begin using the USPS website to purchase postage. This has the added advantage of helping to save tracking numbers, something that i typically lose when it is on the printed receit.=== The Good Stuff ===* I double checked a few packages in the 1, 5 and 10 pound range, and all were measured accurately against the USPS scales. Given that that is all I really want this thing to do, it has to be considered a success.* The unit provides weight in either grams, pounds and ounces, pounds only (heavier packages), kg, or ounces. One button easily selects the measurement units. There is also a function button to tare off a weight (not sure why I would want to do this for a mailing a package), and a zero button. All worked as expected.* The unit is intuitive and obvious. As usual, I haven't read the directions, and seem to be having no problems.=== The Not-So-Good Stuff ===* The scale doesn't seem to turn itself off by itself, so you have to remember to turn it off, otherwise the light will stay on forever. I use the AC adapter, so no real issue other than my quest for darkness.=== Summary ===I wanted a postal scale, and that is exactly what this is. It is simple and intuitive to use, and seems to be as accurate as needed for mailing. I haven't used it for anything heavier than 10 pounds, and probably never will, but it is rated for 75 pound max. i also use it occasionally to measure items from the kitchen for those annoying recipes that use weight instead of volume.

I love this scale! I sell online and for years I have used a DigiWeigh scale, which seemed to work OK, but after using this Tree brand postal scale, I'll never go back!For around the same price, you get twice the scale. I guess I didn't know what I was missing. The Tree Scale is fast, has easily selectable modes; Gram, Lbs. Oz. and Kilo. Weighs up to 75lbs, is sturdy and very user friendly. The best thing about this scale is the user selectable option to stay on, or auto off. The old Digiweigh did not have that option and would always auto shut off between orders, and I would have to turn it back on and wait for it to calibrate. No big deal, just irritating.The Tree scale will automatically lock in the weight of the shipment after ten seconds or so. If it does hit the zero button when you're ready for your next package and it zero's out in a couple seconds. Better yet, I simply weigh the initial package, make note of the weight then remove the package before the scale locks it in, and it automatically resets to zero and is ready for your next shipment. One less irritation to deal with. I would definitely buy another if I ever wear this one out...Update: I've had this scale for over a year now and can still say it is a pleasure to use. It's been used nearly every day since I bought it and it is still working well.

after doing a bunch of research reading reviews, etc. i just wanted a scale for my small online business where i ship out mostly smaller packages. i was looking for a solid no-frills scale and this is the one! i've only had it for a month or so but so far i really like and i think it hold up better over time compared to more popular scales on amazon.if you are looking for a solid built scale that is dependable and accurate i would recommend this one!

While researching which scale to purchase for my eBay endeavors, I did a lot of research and read a lot here at Amazon. After receiving my scale I have to say that it is excellent! The items I've weighed all showed the proper weight when I took them to the post office. It is easy to use and I love that it give you pounds and ounces so you don't have to convert 39 ounces into pounds.The negative reviews I've read here seem to indicate the following: people ordered the scale without reading what the scale does (one reviewer gives it 3 stars because it doesn't print labels. Where in the text did it indicate the scale was supposed to print labels??) Some users aren't using the scale properly and a few received a defective scale - this happens regardless of the item - even Ferraris straight from Italy have defects.I can't speak to the longevity of the unit but it seems really well built and there is no sign of cheapness about it.I simply think this is the ideal eBay scale and I recommend it highly.

This is a fantastic scale. I have a smaller scale that I used previously but it didn't weigh anything more than about 5lbs.This scale is very accurate. I tested by weighing several smaller items separately and then weighing them in various combinations at larger gross weights.The back-lit display is very helpful for people like me who like working in a darker office.The unit does not automatically shut off. This is a plus for me because I don't want to bother with constantly turning the scale back on when I'm in a "shipping mode" for a few hours.I like the flap that comes up for stability when weighing smaller items or envelopes.There is an audible beep whenever any of the buttons is pressed.The built-in conversion is very helpful for switching between standard, metric, and all ounces vs. pounds/ounces.It's kinda silly but I like the built-in greeting when turning the scale on and off. "HELL0" and "byE"
