BESSEYMMS-8, 8 In., All Steel Clamp

The old adage certainly applies here. You get what you pay for. I am a fitter fabricator welder and have been for over thirty years. I’ve used every brand F-clamp that has been made. BESSEY clamps are simply put worth every dollar they ask for. Holding values longevity and durability are bar none. I won’t use the inferior clamps anymore.

Well worth the price. These are great clamp that I've put to the test. The slide makes for easy adjustment. No screwing or unscrewing for long periods of time just slide it in place and a couple turns an your done. Heavy duty clamps these are a must have if you have to do much clamping. They can be torqued down an will hold strong. The cheapest I've found them anywhere for the heavy duty set. Very pleased with these clamp. An they look good too. Have used these to clamp stuff way over there max holding limit an have held strong. Happy with the purchase of these clamps well worth the money I've spend on them. **Update- When I originally purchased these they were about $14. wow! over $22.50 each? Cheaper to now go with the Festool screw clamps 2 for $43 if you are using them on an MFT table. Dropping from 5 stars to 4 due to major price jump.Original Review: I have my own version of a Fastool MFT table and was looking for an alternative affordable clamp to use through the 20mm holes. These will fit through the holes; however, without a modification they will not fit into the inner portion of the table due to the screw section doesn't allow you to get the angle need to slide the head into the table. My solution was to take the clamp to my sander and sand down the nub which keeps the slide for the screw from coming off the static side head of the clamp. If I need to use them in the middle of my 4'x6' (DIY) MFT, I slide off the screw section, then inset the clamp into the table, then just slide in the screw section back on and your in business. They work great with this little work around. I bought a dozen of these for the price of 4 festool click clamps.

If you want to do metalwork, do yourself a favor and get some of these. Get as many as you can. I still have my original ones from about 12 years ago, and they're going strong. I keep buying more because you can never have too many clamps. Note these are the smallish ones, they only go up in size from here. But for much of the most common welding setups these are the best.

These clamps are fairly versatile in use. One of the main reasons why I choose them was because in needed a clamp that had a very shallow head that would fit between the object it was holding and the object in front of it. Not only did they fit well, but they happen to be firm and high quality. They are a bit on the expensive side for what it is, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

I did pick up knockoff brand. They work good, but not quite as good as the Bessey brand. Bessey doesn't flex as much. The threads are tighter. The bight doesn't slide as much when setting them.

Fantastic clamps, not used old g clamps anymore, only use my carver clamps for really heavy stuff, these are my go to clamps now. Even bought different sizes. These are extremely strong and robust for there size

These clamps are described as “manufactured in BESSEY’s own German production facilities”. The photo on Amazon shows “made in Germany.” What I’ve received doesn’t have any place of manufacture on the clamp.(There was no packaging). The throat is not 4 inches - more like 3. You pay a premium price for German hand tools . Presumably these are made elsewhere.
