This is NOT denim!
This product is NOT denim. Denim, as defined by Webster, is: "A firm durable twilled usually cotton fabric woven with colored warp and white filling threads." The hang tag on this vest says that it is 35% cotton 65% polyester. The fabric is pretty lightweight, not in the least "denim-like" in its weaving. The only resemblance to denim is in the faded blue color. The zippers appear to be pretty cheap, too, and I have doubts as to their durability. It does have a lot of pockets, though many of them are so small as to be of dubious value.

Nice to look at as a closet decoration
If you have really small hands and are below 5' 10" tall and prefer the zipper to be opposite of what men apparel normally is, then this garment is right for you. I am 6' 1" tall and about 210 and this vest was about 3 inches too short on the back side and I can only fit my hands in but a few of the pockets, so I've never worn it in public because it looks so crappy in fact the tag is still on it. I purchased the 5XL thought it would certainly be large enough, and I can use 2 of the outside pockets. It also has 4 hideaway pockets inside that are roomy. One of the pockets I could stick three fingers through, ( I guess they ran out of thread and decided not to finishit). so I had to get the trusty sew machine out. I would certainly give it a once over really good. It is 65% poly and 35% cotton, and of course it is made in China. I also have a Humvee vest that is made much better but it is made in China's competition, Bangladesh. nothing is made in the U.S anymore.

Hard to please, & I LOVE IT!
My wife purchased this as a surprise to me. I was VERY surprised! I took one look at the box and feared it wouldn't fit! I purchase things offline, but never in my size. I do NOT like the disappointment! My wife, son's, and my dad forced me to put it on. I did and what a smile! I couldn't hid how happy it made me that it actually fit! How many times does something say it's your size, but its a size smaller making you feel bigger than what you really are!? What a mood killer! But this boosted my confidence to trust THIS seller. LOL I dont know about any other seller. But if I want to buy something sight unseen for myself... I will trust this brand! I love the material. It will stay clean even if I spill something while I eat, I can wipe it clean off. Men right!? LOL It has so many zippers on it I can store everything I need. Which my wife likes because she's always holding something in her purse for me (chargers for my cell phone, etc.). She's a great wife, but I think she's trying to tell me something. LMBO I feel like a REAL movie director wearing this! But I also feel comfortable, because it fits, its not going to stain easily, its not going to rip easily, the zipper is sturdy enough to zip with confidence, and the pocket zippers are very well made too! It's stylish enough to dress up, or down, so my wife wont be too embarrassed if I wear it with her no matter where we're going. I'm hard to please, rarely smile, I do not LIKE MUCH OF ANYTHING ESP. SIGHT UNSEEN, AND OVER 15 BUCKS, NO MATTER HOW DETAILED THE PICTURE! But this jacket got to me, because my wife purchased it, and it proved to be what I need. I LOVE IT! I wouldn't mind having one for every day of the week in different colors. I think I'll just wear this one out until my wife gets me another one. She seems to know what she's doing. I'll be back to shop this brand again. But it was too pricey for me to purchase, so I'll be looking for better prices with this brand name on it. But at least I know one name I'll trust.

Not for the folks living up the hill.
So this is $20-30 for a kind of item that you can expect to pay $80-100 for at other outlets. But this is NOT a "good deal". It's a matter of getting what you pay for. It does not look good or attractive, it looks CHEAP.The zippers do not work smoothly, like one would expect in a quality garment. It does not have the fit and finish of a quality garment. It feels cheap when worn.Just so you know.If you will be wearing this while working under the car, have at it. If you wear it in public and expect to be admired, good luck on that one, depending on the crowd you hang with.Besides the numerous pockets on the outside, there are two hidden pockets inside. Good luck in remembering where you stashed what.

...ah, good enough.
Good cheap denim vests are hard to find these days. This one, well...Construction: As someone else pointed out to me, it's not real denim, and the one I got looks rather darker and less denim-ish than the one in the pic. Maybe it'll fade after use. I might update this section later if it doesn't hold up.Size: I'm a shirt size small/medium but I wear large size jackets, so I bought the US-L/Asia-3XL. What I got is smaller than a similar style large-size Eddie Bauer vest I got at Goodwill for $5, but it's still a little roomy, especially on a skinny guy like me.Zipper: On the wrong side, like everyone else reported. If I take any flak for it, I'll probably just smash the mechanism off with a hammer. I bought the thing for the summer, so it's not like I'll ever have to use the zipper.Pockets: The silly overabundance of pockets on the thing is apparently the main selling point. The pictures don't do a good job of showing it, but there's four zipper pockets on the inside as well, and an additional layer of the lowest front pockets that open from the side. The large lower pockets are big enough to hold a small paperback book, which is the important thing for me.From price shopping on here, a proper denim vest runs about $50 new. I suppose I got what I paid for.

Beware of SIZING
nice vest but sizing is so far off it's remarkable. I bought a 5xl wanting to wear a hooded sweatshirt under it. It was so small it barley fit my wife who has an xl vest. Very disappointed in this product.
