New BalanceMen's 1300 Trail Walking Shoe

Really disappointing. After 7 months of use (generally daily wear), the side split open along the natural crease where the show shoe flexes.After contacting NB, I was told that had the failure occurred before the 6 month mark they would have replaced the shoes. Instead they gave me a $50 coupon for their website to replace shoes that should have lasted AT LEAST another 18 months. The prorated value should have been at least $100.I'm a long time NB buyer, but this episode has been disappointing and I will go find different mfg.Update: I got NB to give me a more reasonable coupon so I'm updating the rating from 2-3. 3 is the best I can do given the shoe should never have failed that soon.

I bought these as a step up from my usual hiker/walker shoe. Today I put them to the test. I've had them now for a couple of weeks and they are very firm and fit my feet very well (S 13). These are nice enough to pass for a dress shoe but I used them today to walk up and down dams I was inspecting. The grass was wet and these did not slip on the wet brome at all. No matter the steepness of the slope I felt like a mountain goat with them. As the day went the grass dried out on other sites and I've had numerous shoes still slip on dry grass. Not these. The waterproof factor was an major factor in my purchase and these passed with flying colors. I haven't had a shoe that ever performed as well as these have.

I love(d) these shoes, and would have given them a 5 star rating until a few weeks ago. They fit right from the star, the looked good, and we’re my “go to” shoes for almost any occasion. But after slightly more than a year of use, the heel part of the bottom, began to delaminate rendering the shoe unusable because of a trip hazard. I took them to the local New Balance store, and they just shrugged their shoulders and would gladly have sold me a new pair at full price. I declined and thought I’d try something different next time.

This is my first time with this model. First, I'm really impressed with the overlook look. The color is an attractive chocolate color and slightly matte. They are actually dressier than you would expect for what are advertised as walking shoes. They are relatively stiff but still surprisingly comfortable. The 13W has just the right amount of room in the toes. I hadn't noticed when ordering that they're waterproof. As it happened, the first time I wore them was on a day that we had gotten a couple of inches of slushy snow, followed by a continuous drizzle. I was quite happy, upon going out, to discover that I could step into the slushy puddles, and the shoes shed water like a duck's back. All-in-all, I'm really happy with this purchase.

These are exceptional shoes that fit right and are comfortable from day one. When I think back to the bad old days of buying leather dress shoes for school and work, and enduring the lengthy breaking in process , I cringe. Where have these been all my life!! Very weather resistant, and just right foot support. I bought a 2nd pair so I will have them the rest of my life and don't have to worry about replacing them

i have always bought new balance. what happened to their sizes. i have had same size forever and when i got these shoes they were too tight in the toes and width !!!! ordered the widest width as i always do !! shame.

Great shoe. I walk quite a bit, 8-10 miles a day, on sidewalks. This shoe is a "business upgrade" from my NB silver/gray walking shoes, NB 623v3 and MW665. The M13000v1 is a good fit and it's hard to tell the difference from my previous versions. Coming in extra-wide is a real plus for me, not that I have super wide feet.

This is my husband's favorite shoe. Difficult to find it in stores. He has bad arches and knees, and this provides excellent support and all day comfort. He is on his feet all day frequently because he does a lot of the farming for his dad. This makes for an outstanding work shoe for anyone standing/walking a lot--particularly on hard or uneven surfaces.

Der Schuh ist super bequem und sehr gut verarbeitet. Es war bereits ein Vorgängermodell von NEW BALANCE im Einsatz, welches jetzt einfach mal ersetzt werden musste. Prompt sind wir bei Amazon fündig geworden u. haben zugeschlagen. Immer wieder gerne! Die Schuhe sind absolut weiterzuempfehlen!
