Wolfmother

I just keep playing this, it contains elements of many 60's,70's and other bands I love (Doors, Zep, Sabbath, Purple, Hawkwind, Floyd, Black Keys,) but keeps things fresh and there's a sense of character and good humour running though it all. Fantastic.

The album that started all this 1970,s retro rock thing thats going on in rock music for the last few years. It killed the band as at the end of it all only Andrew Stockdale was left. This coct pennies, buy it then buy bands like, GRAVEYARD, GENTLEMANS-PISTOLS who sound the same but better.

In the process of replacing albums that have either walked out of my house on their own or not returned when lent out, or when they were returned they weren't in the best of condition. Been buying second hand albums and so far I've been really pleased with what I've bought. No complaints. Wouldn't have replaced them if I had to pay full price so I'm very happy that Amazon has given me the opportunity to do this.

After sifting though 100's of albums on here looking for something new I came across this. I have heard of the band, but can't recall hearing any of their stuff. It normally takes me 5-6 plays to get into a new album, but I was loving this by the second play! The negative comments on here are quite unfair, I think should you judge each album on it's own merit, regardless of the hype of the band or image. It has lovely guitar riffs and melodies. Their sound can be described as Supergrass meets The White Stripes meets The Darkness. Brilliant.

Bought this for my boyfriend for valentines day and he loved it we played it stright away and danced the night away.Delivery was very fast as it was on prime alsoThe packaging was perfect!

I had never previously listened to wolfmother.And this album was recommended by a friend.It wasnt a disappointment but not amazing eitther.For me, not as a fan, it was an ok album.

Well these guys sure know how to rock. This is real 70's rock, think Led Zep or Deep Purple, in a slightly more modern style. Bought off the back of hearing a few tracks on Planet Rock and a recommendation from a friend and I love it.Highly recommended.

Great album but they could have left out the dance remixes, interesting bonus disc with early demo versions of the album tracks plus live recordings
