Terrific value for the beginner BuJo
After being dissatisfied with the 80 gsm paper in my large Moleskine journal, I decided to try a different brand with thicker pages and typical A5 size. I didn't want to invest a lot of money. Everyone's favorite, the Lechttrum 1917, was the max budget for a new one. I'd buy one of those if I couldn't find anything else.I found the TaoTree journal here on Amazon in the suggested similar items to the Lemome brand. The price was enticing, and made even better by a generous coupon. The cheery yellow cover suits my style. The paperweight is 100gsm, the minimum I wanted.Still, I was skeptical. A book less than $10 couldn't really compete with more well known brands, could it? When it arrived, I knew that it could. It has a sturdy cover, is well bound, and with the exception of first and last pages, lays flat nicely. It includes a matching elastic loop and back pocket. The grid is a standard 5mm spacing. It is 24 full squares wide by 40 tall. The real test was with various inks. Would it bleed with fine liners, Pigma Micron pens, various stamp pads, Tombow markers? It has not! There is some mild ghosting, but it doesn't distract from the current page. I've attached a few photos of pages with the worst of the ghosting. Please excuse the pitiful layouts and my poor design skills.Overall, I highly recommend this journal, especially if you're just starting in the world of creative bullet journaling. Incredible value for price.

Very beautiful bullet journal; with only a few items missing,,,
The yellow version of this bullet journal is very beautiful, making it a wonderful gift item. The PU leather is excellent in feel and appearance. It contains a sturdy back pocket (the seams are also in yellow, which is a nice touch), and the elastic band, of course. The pages are an excellent weight, and should hold up to markers, doodling, etc. I plan to use erasable pens in this one, so it should hold up well. The only items missing are the table of contents and bottom page numbers found in other traditional bullet journals, so that's why I gave it 4 instead of five stars. But, you can also make your own table of contents and bottom page numbers, so it's not a deal breaker. Would definitely give as a gift in the future...

Affordable quality
Seems to me, this bargain journal is of the same quality or, sadly, better that some higher priced/name-brand dot grid journals. Crayola Supertip markers & regular highlighters don't bleed thru but most others (Sharpies, Prismacolor, etc..) do. There can be some mild ghosting of dark ink (or marker) applied with a heavy hand - but it's honestly not bad. If ANY ghosting is a deal-breaker, don't buy this journal. I bought this single journal to test it & after testing, I ordered a box of 5 (sold separately here) for $23.99 (w/coupon) , which makes them just under $5 each. At that price, these things are as golden as the lovely covers.5 stars in all but Sturdiness. I took off one star for sturdiness as one of my spines is a bit wonky and has a bubble, purely cosmetic, but still functions fine. I'm a tad worried how this one book will stand up over time, but the rest are perfect. I'm giving a couple as gifts & bujo-ing the rest myself!

Great multi-purpose notebook!
This notebook actually exceeded my expectations! It's hard cover, so that improves it's lifespan inside my purse. There's an elastic band to keep it closed and keep other purse items out. There is a bookmark to find the page you need quickly. Let's talk about the pages... Nice thick paper so even my drawings with gel pens doesn't bleed through (see last picture). I love that there are dots, because I can use it for drawing OR writing (see picture). The paper is quality... Just the right thickness and very smooth, non-shiny, great for pens or pencils. I also have an erasable pen (FriXion) and it works great here (the blue ink in the picture)... It writes clear and erases clean. I also really like that the corners are rounded... Especially when I'm rummaging through my purse. Last but not least... There is an expandable pocket inside the back cover for coupons, paint swatches, fabric swatches... I even put narrow washi rolls in mine and because the notebook has the elastic band, I could close the notebook securely (picture 1)! Very pleased with this product, and will definitely buy more!!

It lays flat but not with ease
This book is true to its color. Absolutely love the orange. I wanted to get a book that “lays flat” once opened and it does, but some pages are up when you open it. I’m hoping some wear will make it lay flat without trying. I think what I am looking for is something money can’t buy LOL which is just a book that opens completely flat without any work. But it’s okay, after some adjustments and “page stretches” I can get it flat. Again, it’s prob just the fact that it’s new and hasn’t been opened and used. We will see! Def worth it for the price! Great quality book and very sturdy. Strong pages and the dots line up perfectly which is a big deal for what I need it for. I recommend this book.

This bullet journal is exactly what I'd hoped for.
I like my journaling to be more free-form, so the structured bullet journals don't work for me. Give me a page with nothing but dots, and I'm good to go. Love the sturdy moleskin-like cover, the ability to bookmark the page (without inadvertently tearing out the ribbon, as happened on another brand of journal I'd purchased). Throw in interior pages that don't bleed through with pencils or ball point pens, or even with ink stamps. I did experiment with a felt marker, and as long as you don't supersaturate the paper, it'll be fine.

Best Value!! Will buy again.
I have been using journals for years, and I struggle to find ones that fit what I am used to.This journal is perfect for those who prefer blank pages over lined pages, but also like the dot-grid. The dots in this journal are not dark and can easily be drawn ignored if desired. It is also durable, has a pocket in the back and an elastic band for holding the pen and keeping it shut, and best yet is FAR less expensive than alternatives.I would and will buy this again.
