Best 4k Smart TV Player I've seen
I’ve been looking for a media player with high specs, 4K UHD and access to a lot of apps. The NextD N2 fits the bill and then some. First of all, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to set up and use. The remote control app which you download on your phone takes a little bit of time to getting used to, but I quickly got a hang of it, and it’s legit. Think of it like a touchpad with Wii-like features, i.e. motion sensing, which comes in handy for certain games. I play Temple Run and Minecraft on it. I’ve downloaded a bunch of different apps so far. It also has all regular streaming apps, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, and even foreign language streaming apps, etc. This is a nice change from the nVidia Shield, which I had found to be restrictive because I couldn’t get NBC Sports, Google Photos, and a couple other apps I expected from the full Google Play Store. At a hefty price of $199, I was a bit let down by Nvidia. In comparison, NextD is more affordable at $99 and does as much if not more than the nVidia Shield. So far, this little device has actually exceeded my expectations. I recommend it to anyone who wants to have an “open platform” smart media player with lots of room to play with

Best regular Android box
Best Android box I've owned so far.. app for box controller is real cool.. Turns your phone into a track pad, mouse, a mirrored screen for a means of using touch screen only apps.. or when you want to play a first person shooter game and you either don't have a game pad or like using phone style control on the TV.. feature is only useful on games where on screen buttons don't change or move but if you're playing a game with a lot of menus and scrolling then not so much. But then you could switch it to track pad.. Many useful ways to use the control app.. they false advertise a little by saying it's compatible with all apps.. Just more apps because of the remote app feature and not because the box is different than other standard boxes in compatibility... Launcher was ok but I changed it.. finding live wallpaper is problematic. Just like many others the box it does freeze or hiccup every so often but not horrible and boot up isn't too long.. It's definitely a great box and you won't be disappointed but if you can spare extra get an Nvidia shield.. that will be my next and last box because it is the best..Best TV box solutions1. Nvidia ( Android TV ui)2. Nextd ( tablet Android ui)3. Mi box most recent (Android TV ui)4. An Android phone or tablet with an HDMI port or converter, Bluetooth air mouse/game pad5. Any other Android box ( Android tablet ui)6. If no gaming is needed then Roku can be number 1 depending on your preference of user interface. If you want a straight tv experience go with Roku.If you're used to Android and Nvidia is just too steep then this nextd box.If you want Android but Nvidia like interface experience then mi boxIf you're broke and can only do small purchases at a time then HDMI to mhl adapter.. Then Bluetooth controller of some kindIf you want to waste your money then any other Android boxSuper random review but some ppl need to hear it. But this product is still great.. Still the best generic box I've had.. Customer service was great..I had an issue and they replaced the box no problems at all so don't be upset if you get a box and it's faulty in some way, they will replace it. If this is your price point then this is your box..

Very Nice, Dont Pass It Up!
Overall, exactly what I was looking for. Great Android Box. Loads up in less than a minute. All apps I have tried off google play run smooth and clean. Easy to setup and use, granted you have experience with Android devices. I would suggest using a blue tooth mouse parallel to the use of the remote. The remote is fine in Media Apps to play movies and music, but not real usual on most other apps. Basic ideals were to use as a Media Center, NVR, and possibly a PVR. Original thought was to get as much use out of it as possible. At a price tag of 99$ really want it to replace aging Chromecast, Firestick, Roku devices etc. It has outperformed Very Well against theses devices. It sees constant use of at least 14hrs a day, as of yet, I have not had an instant of it locking up or needing a power cycle. It comes with options to Load Apps from Google Play, Amazon App Store. Google Apps Run Great, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hbo, all run smooth clear and clean. Dont see any buffering!!!!!! YouTube Tv runs graet as well. DirectTV Now Still Sucks!!!!!!!!That is problem with Direct Though. Unit Generally stays cool to the touch, about as warm as most modems, maybe cooler. As far as plug and play devices and Bluetooth, have had no problems connecting, Thumb Drives, Portable Hard Drives all worked well, different sizes and makes no issues.I would say if your are on the fence about whether or not to upgrade your current streaming device, The answer is to Get The NextD. Definitely worth the money, It does as you expect it to do, I hate having to have a cluster of devices because each one does something really well, This Device replaces those Devices, Because this device does a lot of things Really Well. I would Personally Like to thank the Folks at Nextd for such a fine product. I cannot comment on their Customer Service nor Their Tech Support, because I haven't Had to use. This is also Another Great Point, because when you make a quality Device it just works! I will definitely buy another.Recently I discovered, when you loose physical remote, oh no how to Power Unit back on. Simple power cycle unit, meaning pull power plug and then plug back it back in, it auto starts, works with smart plug also to make it somewhat smart controlled.
