Ordered Bocking 14 - Russian Comfrey Crown Split (3) and the package came with 2 spares, one was a bigger cutting. Planted 4 outside and 1 bigger cutting inside in a 3g fabric pot, I used the same organic solutions but the cutting size and potting soil made all the difference because it has grown 3 times the size vrs outdoors with other plants. Outdoors I cut back some strawberry leaves to let more light in and they are healthy and starting to catch up in growth speed. Ordered/planted 17 days ago and the indoor plant have some stem to leaf ends measuring about 14.5 inches long 5.25 inches wide but still just under a ft tall from soil level. Pretty Impressive, hope they flower this year.

Received this root with sprout started in great condition and normal speedy Amazon shipping!Arrived in moist wood chips with strong sprouts. Replanted and am confident it will flourish. I highly recommend this seller because had read this species takes a winter freeze to bloom from seeds and didn’t want to wait that long.Day 1 of potting the plant to day 14. What a fast grower from a healthy start!

The crown cuttings grew new leaves almost immediately- perhaps it was the timing of the shipment, but the cuttings are healthy and VIGOROUS! Thanks!

Great product & delivered several days sooner than expected. My Russian Comfrey Bocking 14 crown split was delivered 3 weeks ago, and it already had some beginnings of leaves when I received it. It seems to have taken root right away, and is now easily a foot tall. The care instructions included with the cutting were very helpful, would definitely recommend following those. I will say, the size of the cutting that was delivered was smaller than I was led to believe by the photos they had online, which always showed the whole crown. The seller also used the same text description for multiple products, and talked about including extra/generous portions, so I thought maybe the photos actually did show what you get. If they haven't done so, they should probably update their listing to include a photo of what you actually get when you buy a single crown split. Otherwise, no complaints - this is a very healthy plant that was easy to grow.

Rhizomes appear alive, but several are much smaller than I expected. Technically six arrived (ordered five) so that's positive, but two are match sticks with little apparent growth. For the price point to get "crowns", these are roots and barely. I got four plantings out of five purchased.
