Note that it does have serrations and a bit of a sharpening bevel (the photos don't show this), so might actually cut your bagel if you want it to. I got it mainly for spreading, because it resembles the old-style butter knives I am fond of.TBH, price is a bit steep for what it is, but I was looking on it as an unnecessary luxury.
